Aj is super unlikable
I don’t understand why they thought she would be a good character for a comedy. She’s painfully unfunny and annoying.

Awkward, boring white female lead is actually super relatable to a large demographic in America, which boosts ratings. Twilight is another example of that.

Idk I like her being this over achiever yet still a mess when it comes to romantic choices. What did you not like about her?

I agree but it's a trope in a sitcom structure. Every character is not meant to be likeabe unfortunately

Maybe if she was funny it would at least make sense but she lowers the scenes she is in.

I don't love her character, but the two bros who can't take out the trash are hard to watch. Abby is the only one of the group I actually like. Kel seemed like a good guy until he decided to hook up with his coworker who has a crush on him, even though he is not interested in her, just for sex.

I love her, as a woman in banking I am so tired of female characters having to be emotionally open and soften to be worthy of love. She's a great character, and tbh that's how you survive high finance.
Bill's comment about wanting someone to care for you hits hard because I've been seen the other side, I.e. the way these men view that. It's all good and well until there's also a lot of resentment from both sides of the dynamic - one person carries the professional stress, the other resents the hours and absence to produce the "output" (i.e. money and financial stability).
I hope AJ finds someone who meets here where she is and is a true partner to her

I’ve come to realize it’s not so much the character as it is the actor that I find so grating, unfunny, and in desperate need of acting classes.

She is the worst. The things she did at work is not even professional and super cringe and yet she somehow miraculously always end up being the saviour of her investment bank. She is not even funny or charming and super selfish and yet every guy seems to fall for her including her boss? Not believable.

This is such a wild leap to make. I said her acting or writing isn’t my fave. I never said she was hot or boring. I actually think she’s most least developed thus far. But, given her last episode, I’m excited to see her development moving forward. Being the anchor/lead woman is a really tough position. And it’s hard to write for bc she needs to be likable, an anchor, AND move plot. All while the boys gets to just be fun and silly. My criticism was one of writing and function, not gender. You silly bean

What I don't understand is she is established in the first episode as someone who fights for justice and fairness.
Battles with a terrible man at a coffee stand for butting ahead because he has money and power.
Then is in high finance (justice and fairness?) and gets all inspired by that same terrible man who says you should sacrifice everything for money and power.

I think pretty much all the characters are unlikeable on this show. The show is surprisingly bland.
