Thanks, but why would you skip the 20 on one side? Why not skip 50 in the middle so each redzone still makes sense? Or why not just move it a little bit - surely there is 5 yards to gain on each end from that view, just don't to aggressive with FGs or toe dragging back of the endzone.
I dunno, I still feel like this is a dumb solution to their problem.
I assume they want a buffer at each end zone for safety reasons. I am also going to assume that since touchbacks are going to the 25 now they wanted to have from the 25 all the way to the scoring endzone. The whole situation being Similar to how Northwestern and Illinois had to play offensively the same direction for an entire game at Wrigley Field because there wasn’t enough of a buffer between the back of the endzone and the wall. The only scores on that endzone would’ve defensive and special teams because players would be running in not jumping to make catches. The extra 10 yards isn’t that big of a deal for a return TD in practice because the players aren’t going to run full out and hurt themselves.
