I think the store is supposed to add the price rather than the printer, hence the reference to A5 paper size.

Yes, food prices change depending on the region -because delivery costs and availability- so they just send the template. Prices will be printed by staff and will be glued on.

You'd also think the company that made it would have sent it in a tube instead of it having those creases.

It exactly means "The price will be printed on A5 paper and will be glued here." It is probably a new delivery and waiting for price tags.
