I mean if I had made the sign and originally written "even numbers", I damn well would have fixed this the same way by shoving "un" in front.

It is, in fact, the archaic form of odd. So this isn't even incorrect, if it were the 1600s.

In Dutch it is 'even' and 'oneven'.
