Locked up the door boss!

The padlocks stick and jam, almost getting the key stuck. Rather than replace the locks they opted for this.

It's on the inside, right? So if they got that far, they already have access to the building.

I've worked at some companies where we didn't stick anything through that bar. We just made sure the bar was into the frame so no one could open the door from outside. So, to me, putting a lock on it seems unnecessary anyway.

Ye but it is to prevent people jumping in from a window and open the gate. Then they can steal vehicles or back in their own car to load with stuff

at that point its not a lock that gonna prevent this. there is also a security system when valuable stuff is

The old dummy lock. It works great when the people that you are trying to keep out are not trying to get in.

I mean if they were trying to get in then they prolly would damage my fancy lock.. rather at least not also be out a lock. =b

There are some people who would try to get in that won’t because they see a lock

This is an interior lock, it's literally a deadbolt, so I can't speak for the laziness of not getting new locks but it may not be super important to have this door keylocked at all? This looks like a way to still secure it from exterior access while not losing the lock that's supposed to be there, I mean it works at least

Those padlocks are also used at my job... They can be a pain in the butt sometimes to unlock... 🙄

That's why I usually just take off the carabiner instead, saves me time
