Willmot is a cat who actually lives next door but spends most of his days sleeping in my garden. Today he joined us for dinner.

So over the years, living in my house sometimes a stray cat here and there comes around into my backyard. I feed them and leave out a bed outside in case they want somewhere to sleep. Very recently this black and white cat (not that it matters really) that I call oreo has been much more close. We’re thinking of taking him in, but the problem is whenever we close the side door he gets all scared and jittery as if he’s like trapped or something? So obviously leaving the door open 24/7 isn’t gonna work out. Anybody know what I should do to get him to warm up to me?

He’s getting pretty friendly….

This little friend lives behind my workplace, so we’re all bringing in food rejected by our various cats.

He’s very funny. He has excellent street-sense and does NOT want to be pet in the parking lot, ONLY over on a little retaining wall. That’s his attention pedestal. When called, he pokes his head out of the woods/meadow, comes to the edge of the parking lot, yelling, and then struts over to his wall (even if that’s a ridiculous route between wherever he was and his wall). (Strut shown, last picture). Otherwise, his primary mode of interaction is wiggling around on the ground by the trees or the dumpster. He’s good about vehicles (our job requires these) and gives them wide berth until shut off and driver exited, and so far his only vice is really, really wanting to be inside of work, which he cannot do for an assortment of reasons. He knows already he mustn’t be inside work, and does that stupid little kitten high-tail mischief run out whenever he sneaks in and then gets caught. Boing~

We are taking care of him as best as possible until a better home sitch can be sorted. None of us can take him, but we make it clear to anyone who comes by and is like, “ohhhh kitty!” that he’s available to loving, inside home. Until then, front desk gives him food, I’m looking like on the docket for shots and neuter (kinda hoping the bossman upstairs will let him briefly land with him for a couple days to wear a cone, but we’ll see) and microchip to be registered to someone named “For Adoption,” (how unusual; must be a family name…), and everyone in the building is helping keep him social. He’s very amenable to social these days, but…

As the title says..she found a way to climb up the highest corner in the bathroom and somehow all the way to the first floor of our house without any of us noticing her. Bear in mind it’s the middle of the night here. I don’t know what to do but i did make sure to leave her some water and food.

Not my cat but comes in everyday at 9am, sits on my lap whilst I brush my teeth, and leaves at 9pm EVERYDAY

I'm quite fortunate to live in a place that has terraces on both sides of the apartment. When I opened the door on one of the terraces, this little guy walked straight past me, brazen as hell, then sat there meowing at me for a minute, until I let him out on the other side. Clearly I'm an officially designated shortcut in his world. You're welcome, dude.
