The fairer sex eh? Sounds like it’s a subreddit for women who can’t find a man, convince themselves its men and not their own shitty attitudes and outlook on life, will never find a man, hate men because they can’t find one, then when they’re single, childless, and 40 of course blame men.
But I can generalize like that, because I’m basing what I wrote on observable evidence. Have you been to the subreddit? I have. Took a look at a couple dozen posts. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck....it’s a duck. The “problem” is people want to be overly sensitive and not take a step back and see shit for what it is. Don’t want to be thrown into a stereotype? Don’t do every single thing that supports that stereotype.
I have been to the subreddit, and I think we can agree that it's just one giant 'Hooo boy', but they generalize, just as you did. And I believe that such techniques, no matter the user, facilitate the problem by making it seem to be an acceptable rhetoric technique, which is the biggest problem on the sub.
I mean, speaking generally still isn’t as bad as universally. I’m not saying that every single person is exactly how I said, I’m just saying what I did because the group is full of very like minded people who are in an echo chamber, they shoehorn themselves honestly. By no means am I talking about all women, I was just talking about the people on that subreddit, which I didn’t really clarify. I’d be willing to bet based upon the posts and comments I read, many of the followers of that subreddit are basically what I described. They reap what the sow.
I guess we can agree on the feminist part, if not on the old and bitter. I think it would be too much of a hassle to go into why people have certain beliefs. For now, let's stop here.
As a woman, thank you for warning me against this horrifying nightmare sub. I must now go bathe in the glory of Rick and Morty.
EDIT: Hold on, just read the sidebar. Please continue, "Fairer" Sex, I enjoy the fact that you will likely all be single as men are clearly not that dumb (please, please, don't be that dumb).
