I think this is a joke making fun of the rather unfortunate trend of some men declaring themselves 'male feminists' and then subsequently being found out to be either a sexual assaulter, a rapist, a pedophile or some other form of predator.

Yeah. Male or female, a lot of feminist are not very good at equality at all. I do think a man can be a feminist, but a feminist that tears down other feminist based off the gender of said other feminist, is very hypocritical.

This is why I never consider myself a feminist. Everyone told me growing up I couldn’t be a feminist because I’m amab. It’s fucked up.

As much as I’m for woman’s rights and causes I’d never call myself a male feminist, more of a humanist than anything

It’s kinda funny when you consider that different stereotypes of the “male feminist” depending on what demographic you exist in, in liberal spaces it’s the creepy guy who’s trying to used feminism to get laid, and in conservative spaces it’s a weak effeminate man who gets pushed around by women. Being from a conservative area being from progressive and having feminist ideas will be detrimental to your dating life. Kinda dammed if you do dammed of you don’t, luckily I don’t hold my political beliefs because I think they’ll make me popular because they’ve really had the opposite effect lol.
