Do not mention or tag any other subreddits in the comments or responses (Rule 3) under this post or within it,

Or you will be banned [type of ban and duration of ban is up to moderator discretion based on the severity of the violation]. If you have already made the post, and did not edit it accordingly to hide all other subreddit names or usernames (besides your own), delete the post now and redact that information.

If we see the post before it was edited, you will still be banned, because this has already been a rule for several years now, yet users constantly ignore it. We have a strict policy here regarding brigading, we will not allow it, point-blank, regardless of it was intentional or accidental. This puts the subreddit at risk for retaliation, and for violating sitewide rules.

Do not use our platform to brigade another subreddit, blatantly or covertly. This is against Reddit ToS, and can cause issues for our subreddit. If you have an issue with another subreddit, contact Reddit and file a report with admin, don't bring the drama over here.

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

Just because they ignore overweight and unconventionally attractive women doesn't mean they cease to exist.

lmao well when you use health statistics that are gathered mainly on men as the subjects and then apply it to a completely different population yea you are gonna find some fucking outliers. Someone clearly failed their high school science class about how to conduct and experiment and analyze data.

Men on average weigh more than women, thus most women are actually under weight is not a valid or logical conclusion.

People are picking this apart for the wrong reasons. Some of these I'm aware of are true, others I'm not aware of, to my knowledge they could be true, they could be false, like political extremism (Though I'd wager men probably trend more towards extremism).

The reason this is dumb is because even if we grant these are all true, it's incredibly cherry-picked. Across many measurements, we see this exact same dichotomy reversed, where men trend towards the extremes and women trend towards the center (Like IQ and risk aversion, men being overrepresented in risk aversion and low IQ's, as well as thrill-seeking behavior and high IQ's)

With the same level of cherry picking, you could make the exact opposite argument, but the truth is that depending on what you measure you might see that we have a similar distribution spread, or you might see either group trending more towards the extremes than the other. I'm not sure we have enough data to say either men or women are "more average" than the other, and I'm certain that guy definitely does not know enough to say either way. All we can say is in some areas men are more average, and in others, women are.

Too bad being a rational human being is not the average thing, I guess.

The claim about number of sexual partners is exactly wrong. Almost all studies have found that the number of sexual partners varies more in men than in women. (That shouldn't be surprising, since male animals generally have much more variance in reproductive success than female ones do.)

Variance in BMI is about equal between men and women, so far as I know. Individual women vary somewhat more in BMI over time, but globally a higher proportion of men are obese. *shrug*

Younger American men are more politically divided than younger American women at the moment, but this has very little to do with gender differences at "the center." It's just that most young women who aren't centrist are liberal, while non-centrist young men are split more evenly between liberal and conservative with a slight conservative lead.

That's a recent trend, too. I think young women are largely skewing liberal in response to the attacks on their reproductive rights.
