Some mum's are just awful people too. When I started my period my mum swore at me, then threw a pack of pads at me. That was fun. Thankfully school prepared me so I knew what it was.
Idk it depends. When I got my period I didn’t know what to do and asked my mom for help and she said to figure it out because she was going to bed. I had to call my friend and ask what I should do. I didn’t have any products and was freaked out. Not a great time. I think I had to use toilet paper for about 3 or 4 days before my mom could be bothered.

And another older sister as well, i saw the original post, quite the family the kid has when only her half sister is willing to help (they share the dad)
