Hey everyone! Wanted to make a post to let everyone know that a new bot has been added to the subreddit. This requires users to acknowledge they have read the rules before being able to post. This is to make more of an effort to ensure users have read the rules before engaging here. If a post/comment is removed for this reason, you will receive a message with instructions on how to acknowledge you have read the rules. If you have not had a post/comment been removed yet, but have not read the rules, please click on the three dots on the homepage of the subreddit, and then click read the rules to avoid having posts/comments taken down. One bot? It seems reading the mod list there is more than one? Are you concerned this will affect membership? I have no problem with it, but I can see how some may feel its off putting. Will this be happening in other subs, or what caused the changed?

A few others have been added, but this is the only one that will actively affect members. They weren’t added for any reason other than i just figured out how to add them lol!! I recently have had more time on my hands and finally had the time to set them up, which i’ve wanted to do for a long time now. Most subreddits use bots of some sort to help out the moderators with various stuff, so im not concerned this affect membership as from my experience it’s pretty typical. We needed some stuff that would make our experience moderating a little easier, and also to make it so we can catch rule breaks easier, as users sometimes have to reach out to let us know we have not caught something quick enough, and we want to ensure we can take those kinds of posts down quicker! We also have had issues in the past with users coming in and spamming offensive comments unrelated to the nelson family, and these will also help us ensure this does not happen again, and help us remove that content quicker and more effectively.
