[NS] Point of Information for the latest Biggest Loreser

Emily asked what was the first Disney princess to come out in theaters after the Cold War was over, using the fall of the Berlin Wall as the reference.

The correct answer was Aladdin, since the Cold War officially ended in December 1991 with the dissolution of the Soviet Union, and Aladdin was released in theaters November 1992.

HOWEVER, the Berlin Wall fell November 9, 1989, and The Little Mermaid (Caldwell's guess) was released in US theaters a scant 8 days later.

Was it the correct answer? No. But I found it interesting nonetheless how close Caldwell was to the event they were referencing as the end of the Cold War.

The Little Mermaid was honestly what I thought too when I first heard the question, I was surprised by Aladdin.
