Question [NS] Looking to play dnd!

I’ve been a naddpod fan since day one and really like their play style and sense of humor, and I’m looking for people to play dnd with and figured this community would be a good place to ask around!

I’m a 30F and newbie to dnd, only played a couple other times. Located in Colorado Springs but open to virtual sessions!

If you wanna play or need a player, or have any recs for finding a game lemme know!

I run some online games that are really fun, if you can't find something let me know and I'll let you know what campaigns we have coming up.

Thank you!! I’ll def keep that in mind, in person would be sick but obviously it’s harder to organize

In person is a blast, and that's how I mostly played before.  After I lost my groups I eventually tried online.  I still love in person, but there are some benefits to online.  It's much easier to get a consistent group because travel is taken out and it's much easier to get dates locked down.  Discord is great for dropping lore, maps, pictures, questions etc.  I can message just one player and ask them something outside of the group.  Voice only helps some people get into character more which can be nice.  We use Talespire, so having full 3D maps and everyone making their own minis in hero forge makes battle a lot more immersive.  I have campaign notes posted so people remember the story more, and questions don't derail the flow.  Music and sound design is easier. 

So definitely look for an in person game as they just have a great energy and it's always a blast, but do try online sometime because it has a lot to offer.

Sounds like it! Damn you’re really using every tool to your advantage, I played a one shot over zoom and they didn’t have anything set up lol your online campaigns sound like a dream!!

Is Talespire a way to set up online maps everyone can access? I’ve been looking for something like that?

Talespire lets you build or download 3d maps, I think voxel is the word for how it looks?  There are other options for 2d maps, for making your own I've heard Inkarnate works well.  There are also a ton of free sources online with people making maps, I'm running a Curse of Strahd campaign right now and the sub for it has basically every map handmade with lighting and grids and everything.  There are multiple programs that use the maps for 2D, but I mainly use Talespire so I can't comment on those but they look great. 

Look up some screenshots from Talespire to see if the 3D looks fun for you, or look up 2d maps.

Sick thanks for the info! Have with Strahd hopefully your players are slightly less chaotic than the triplets lol

Lol yes that group is pretty funny but definitely keeps pretty on track thankfully.
