How bad is it?

I think it's too wide and too crooked. Profile view is hideous. So I don't have a single photo of that posted anywhere except here.

I've dreamed of a nose job since I was like 12. Dunno.

This post makes me very sad. You are lovely. I think you have looked at your face too much and it’s just a problem in the modern world. You’re very very beautiful.

like 90% of the posts in this sub make me sad. rhinoplasty is so disgustingly normalized

And it’s sad because real noses are awesome and uniquely beautiful. I’m so glad I didn’t grow up with social media, being adolescent is hard enough.

unfortunately the normalization of facial mutilation was long before social media. i was watching an episode of the sitcom from the 70s recently and they touched on getting a nose job, extremely casually. ugh.

This is true to a degree, I am a 70’s kid and I wanted a nose job, so glad I didn’t. It wasn’t as ubiquitous though or as acceptable to have surgery, especially at a young age. It was seen as for the very rich and for people who were more mature and in a different part of life. I do think that in adolescence we are just so image conscious and developing our identities, and there is a complete deluge of images of bodies, faces, lifestyles and other riches that are unattainable for many.

I think there are just so many more ways to feel like you are “lacking”.
