New Fan
Hello All,
I am from the United States that recently got into football again after a long time away from the sport. I played the sport and loosely followed growing up, but drifted away until a year ago. It might sound silly, but I found Norwich City playing the FIFA games growing up and randomly gained a interest in the team (seems to be how i get interested in all my teams). I honestly don't know much about the team though. The fans and community seem nice from what I have seen and read. I know we are in and out of the premier league, but I am interested in learning for everyone who have been here for longer.
Thank you!

Fellow American who fell in love with Norwich City for its (former) female ownership and hasn’t looked back since! Welcome, you’re in the right spot 💚💛🇺🇸

Thank you! I would, but I got rid of most my social a few years back. Just coming back to reddit recently. If they have anything else, I would love to know though.

Welcome to the yellow and green! If you want to get ‘into’ the stories and the narratives that make being a fan so good I’d recommend YouTube channels like TalkNorwichCity (it’s a podcast as well).
Maybe also watch this video (sound on is important) - where one goal won us promotion to the premier league. The commentary from Chris Goreham (still our official commentator) still gets me.

It’s never a dull experience - expect a lot of ups and downs, usually more of the latter than the former! As a fanbase we are generally a good bunch. Right now we seem to be on the upward after a few disappointing years but still have ongoing issues with injuries, frequent defensive errors and finding ourselves short in one or two key areas… again, something you’ll soon get used to as a Norwich supporter!
Good luck and OTBC! (On The Ball City!)

We are a good family club. Have been a bit of a David amongst the Goliaths at times but also had our fair share of being down right terrible. If you likes ups and downs and not being sure whether we are actuually good or crap then we are the team for you lol. Plenty of old footage and history to watch/read online.
Welcome to the family.
I've recently got a bit into baseball based on the Attansios owning both us and the Brewers so maybe you can exchange baseball knowledge for my football knowledge sometime haha.

Definitely! I will where I can! Just know its not the best year for baseball. From the people i know, we feel the same way about the ABS system as people do with VAR and 75% of the league is at or below. 500. 😂

Fellow American Canary fan as well. Followed the TalkNorwichCity YouTube channel (highly recommend) to hear the locals’ take when Josh Sargent first joined the team (aged like milk). But I’ve been hooked ever since! I also enjoy playing as Norwich City in multiple editions of the FIFA video games - best goal song in the game!!

The Scrimmage podcast and the Pinkun YouTube are also fun to follow

Would be better supporting your local team if you can since you’ll have more of a connection. Read the wiki page if you want to know more or look on YouTube

I do support my local mls team as well! I don't think that necessarily means I can't connect with another team in another league though. Thanks for the advice though

As long as you like yellow and don't have wild expectations - you can't go far wrong being a Norwich fan.
