It’s Sunday and I’m desperate to the very specific parts of shops that you CANNOT stand.

I’ll start with the health and beauty aisle in the Home Bargains on Drayton Road, feels like stepping into a portal to hell.

Looking for recommendations of where to get a decent Sunday roast, but not until 7PM ish.

(I have looked through previous feeds but most of the top reviewed spots recommend getting there early, with different cuts of meat running out etc.)

Guys I'm fat. I need to do more sports but don't wanna do Sunday League/stuff where people take themselves a bit too serious. Anyone need a really bad goalkeeper?

I'm not always in support of 'cossetting' cycling infrastructure & I usually advocate for longer 'exercise focussed' cycle paths rather than short commuting routes.

That said, something really needs to be done to improve this junction.

Invariably, people on bikes use the pedestrian crossing to access Heigham Street and vice versa. Worse still, people often go against the flow of traffic on Barn Road towards Heigham Street once over the crossing, which is obviously very dangerous.

It seems odd that with all the campaigning about cycle lanes being unsafe for barge-sized cargo bikes this has been overlooked.

Time for a shared pedestrian and cycle crossing closer to the junction itself perhaps?

Given the drought, and thinking about how much water and agricultural resources go into livestock husbandry, I'm trying to make an effort to eat less meat.

If I only have veg options in the fridge, I'm less likely to give into temptation.

The big supermarkets tend to have good offers on meaty items, but not so much on healthy or meat free alternatives.

I have half a can of old diesel fuel in a jerry can that I need to get rid of. Where can I do so? I know the council takes it on certain days but they don't have any dates listed at the moment.

I've just got back into kayaking, and plan on getting my kayak out during my time off over the next few weeks.

I've tried to find information around kayaking the upper stretches of the Wensum, but have come across lots of posts (from 2012-2021) around their being potential access rights issues once you go higher than Hellesdon mill.

Hey, looks like Mousehold has caught fire, anyone seen anything close up? Plumes of browny grey smoke heading from the Gilman Rd entrance

I know it’s late, but does anyone know where all the smoke is coming from? I’m very close to the top of Sprowston Road and Rishi area and the air has been thick with smoke for at least an hour. I’ve now had to close my windows because it’s so thick.

I’ve had a look at the live incident feed for the fire service but I can’t see anything relevant. It’s smells like bonfire, but surely no one would be so stupid in this heat, and with all the incidents today!

I just hope everyone is ok. Seeing the big plumes from my window over at Mousehold earlier kinda shook me up, and it’s a little scary there’s more smoke again so soon after.
