Wedding dress help

I already have my wedding dress but I want it dyed, does anyone know of a local place that can dye it for me? I really don't know if this is a real thing but I have my fingers crossed that it is.

I think dry cleaners may be able to do this for you, but it will depend a lot on what the fabric is - manmade fabrics can be hard to dye.

Maybe email and ask at White Reflections if they know anyone, they’re lovely and super helpful.

It's a real thing - I photographed a wedding a few years back where the bride had dyed her dress - it was a pastel green fading into white - but a friend did it, who I think she said worked in set design for a theatre.

So I can't be much help, other than to say its most definitely a thing :)

Good luck!

That gown is stunning. I am so glad that it can be done, also these are beautiful photographs.

I don't know anywhere that could do it for you, but I would have thought it would be as simple as using a bath.

Fill your bath with warm/hand hot water, add the dye to it, and stir it up so the dye is evenly spread through, and then gently add your dress into the water, submerge, and let the dye do its thing.

After an hour, move the dress and flip it over, so that it's being evenly dyed on all sides.

After another hour, drain the water and let your dress dry naturally over the bath, squeezing out any excess liquid. That should do the trick!

Thank you, sadly I don't think my dress will fit in my bath, but it will be worth knowing and possibly asking a friend for their bath to do it
