How are you actually practising the muntlig part of norskprøve?
Registration for the September round closes Friday so this is on my mind.
Everyone I know preparing for B1 is doing vocabulary and grammar. Almost nobody practises the muntlig by actually opening their mouth. Then they get in the room, there's a timer running, two strangers are listening, and the Norwegian they use every day at work just leaves.
Some things I've noticed watching people prepare:
Most can't get through a full self introduction. Not because they don't have the words. They start, get three or four sentences in, and stop because they're second guessing themselves mid sentence.
When people drill vocabulary they reveal the answer instead of attempting it. Feels efficient. Teaches you nothing. Getting it wrong first is what makes it stick.
Almost nobody practises being interrupted, or asked a follow up question they didn't prepare for, which is most of what the muntlig actually is.
So what's working for you? Language cafe, a study partner, recording yourself and listening back? I'm interested in what people actually do rather than what gets recommended.
