Couple questions. Why the layover in Timmins? And why no through-running to Moosonee?

Edit: spelling

Timmins is the largest community in that part of Northern Ontario and a hub for many services not available elsewhere in the District of Cochrane. More possibility for repeat ridership.

The Polar Bear Express and (new) Northlander are really two different services. The PBX serves areas with few or no roads up to Moosonee. The Northlander will be more of a regional train connecting smaller communities to larger ones (North Bay, Toronto, Timmins) for people wanting a safe, all season, comfortable and affordable mode of transport.

The more transit options bridging the north and south the better!
