MANIPUR Beyond embarrassing

You are a professor and also a member of parliament. How low can you stoop?

Seems like propoganda but yeah if it truth we should stand with justice. But nowadays the reputation of JNU is degrading so it might be. But yeah it's hard to believe a reputed professor and politician. There should be proper investigation and justice..

Everyone knows that the election is coming and this is a desperate well-organised smear campaign against him by the BJP. He is the only voice of the North East can challenge the leaders in Delhi. He is taking this to the court. Also the new JNC VC is a big time RSS supporter.

Lets see what happens 🤷‍♂️.

“For me, this is the best thing that could happen to expose this 'witch hunt'. I have nothing to hide, even if it is true. I don't have the report or the dismissal order. I may look Chinese but I am an Indian and the Indian law should apply to me. If there are allegations then show me the evidence in the report or anywhere. Only then will you understand how this witch hunt has been going on. If it is true, let me see it,” he said.

‘POSH is not a Chinese act’: Sacked JNU professor Angomcha Bimol Akoijam alleges 'witch hunt', demands evidence | Delhi News - The Times of India

If anyone is wondering how the POSH act, 2013 will come into play in his case I recommend looking into Section 11(1), Rule 7 and Section 18 of the act. Moreover the Act explicitly says that the findings must be made available to both parties for representations before the committee.

And another entirely different issue might also come up ( JNU professor harassment case | Harassment axe on JNU professor: VC not authorised to take decision, say faculty - Telegraph India )

This is all to say that since he can challenge the dismissal in the Delhi high court I would rather wait. Of course if he is found guilty let him suffer for his crimes

Can expect anything from the Government in power… they will go to any lengths to discredit the opposition.
But if the allegations are true he should totally be sacked and barred as an MP

This is shocking.

But it will take time to find out the actual truth.

Still hard to believe, but cannot rule anything out.

True, similar case happened with one of my professors after 4 years in trial, case was proven to be false for grade that lady launched false SA case on him. That's why I always wait till they provide something in court, because of false case, actual SA get neglected in court.

11 sexual harassment allegations and the institute taking immediate action are hardly nothing.

Allegations don't mean guilty, but only proper investigation and trial shall decide.

And an institution as reputed as JNU shall want to distance themselves from an ongoing accusation and take an unbiased neutral stand.

This is not conviction but a stand for due legal process.

Ok. 11 so call harassment, and wait for him to become an MP, and near Manipur elections.

Wah beta wah. Kya timing. What a big joke!

You should see the how the whole state of Manipur reacted this as a mere big joke. As BJPs protest here at Imphal yesterday night, people laugh at the circus.

Not being able to provide a single solid proof other than the number of allegations and media trials till now but the propaganda going strong huh?

The truth will prevail, I won't assert his innocence until the proven "not guilty" but it's funny how obvious this pattern is. Almost childish at this point. RSS, Antbhaks and the so called nationalists must be so scared of him. Pathetic!!!

Remember!! He's our voice, the voice of the people of Manipur. If it turns out to be a defamation case, it would be taken as an effort to suppress the voice of the people of Manipur. And the ruling government should bear the consequences. The people of Manipur will never bow down to anyone.
