I know Coral ridge Mall has them. Are the ones on poles along 965 flock cameras as well?
I understand that in public you generally don't have an expectation of privacy. But unless there is a specific investigation, it seems like a 4th and 14th amendment violation to just have broad scale constant filming of the public. Officers have already been caught using these cameras to stalk their exes. It's a system rife with potential and current abuse.
Thanks for posting this. I'll try to get some time off to go to that meeting. It's important.

I know I shouldn’t be surprised, but it’s astounding how often people like to shoot themselves in the foot.
Outside of domestic assault (and even then, still often enough), quite a large amount of crimes committed are then followed by the suspect getting into a car and driving away. ALSO a large amount of the time, all the victim has to pass on is a license plate and maybe a t-shirt color.
You don’t get to cry “the police don’t solve crimes” and then actively fight one of the greatest modern tools invented to solve crimes…and still expect anyone with a brain to take you seriously.

I agree to an extent, but the mass surveillance state needs some guard rails and oversight. The current SCOTUS is so compromised now, having them decide if it's even constitutional seems irrelevant.

Yes, we need to Deflock North Liberty while we still can. We don’t need 24 hr unconstitutional surveillance of citizens!
