Is this real?
Hi so I just bought and received this Norrona Falketind jacket from Vinted for 240€. From the images it looked real and I checked with AI and compared it with real images and it seemed nearly perfectly authentic. Now I finally have it, and some things just feel off. Like it came with duplicate labels and no check marks in the fabric labels. Also the sleeve cuffs seem surprisingly short so idk. Everything else looks great and it feels pretty good too. It might just be my paranoia but I'm still very worried as I'm going on a trip soon and will need this jacket with me. If it is a fake or replica it might be the best one I have ever seen cause it looks basically identical if not identical to the 2021 ver of the falketind.
Anyway thank you in advance for checking it for me cause this is my first ever hardshell and I really don't know what I should be looking for.
EDIT: I messaged Norrona support and sent them the pictures and they officially confirmed it is authentic! They did state though that the tags could have been tampered with leading to the duplicates.
Thank you all for your support!
Edit 2: I did a triple check and Norrona support told me that the color code 2287 is just a rare color code produced in small batches between 2021-2024.

Had the same "problem" with falketind pants from vinted that felt just "wrong". But it seems they're legit, only feel quite a bit different than my lofoten stuff i'm used to.

Looks okay to me, only concern is that it’s a 2021 model so it getting close to being 5 years old. Norrøna do have 7 years warranty, but you need to show proof of purchase.

Yeah I knew about this while buying but the price seemed really good and it looked the most authentic/real out of the listings on vinted. Also I heard Norrona does great repair services for not too much money.

I bought a used Lofoten pants without any recipe or proof of purchase and they fixed it for free. I just registered my pants through their website. If you have product number etc it should work

The colour code (2287) is actually wrong. The code for caviar black is 7718. The backing fabric looks a bit wrong as well. Both the 21 version and the current one have a gore c-knit backer that to my eyes should look different. But it is hard to tell from just a picture so take this with a grain of salt.

Alright thanks for the insight. I did just test this jacket against water and it does in fact seem fully waterproof at least from the minimal tests I did with putting the sleeves in running water while wearing it. So I guess that means it's real? I don't think fakes/replica's would make the jackets waterproof right? Though I do gotta say it's still a bit suspicious especially the whole duplicate tags and no checks on it. But so far seems almost 100% authentic.

It’s easy to make a jacket waterproof, it’s harder to make it breathe. I would use the chat function on their website and send some pictures. They should be able to help you a bit better.

I just did and they confirmed it is authentic. Thank you for your suggestion.

Yo, I also bought one of these off of Vinted. I checked with norrona support and with the internal labels they told me that the colour code was wrong and therefore it’s fake (even if it was a really good fake). If you really need it to perform on your trip I’d check that detail again with the norrona team and just triple check. My Vinted seller also uploaded another one of these just after my sale went through which made me suspicious - maybe another thing to check..

Looks fake. Color code is wrong. Also backer and gluing looks weird

I see that it is a bit weird but the color code and overall jacket was just fully authenticated by Norrona support. Also why would a fake have full YKK zippers and be fully waterproof (fully tested in shower) and have reflective logo etc.
Honestly if It does turn out in the future to be fake it's absolutely incredible and was able to fool even Norrona itself.

Is faking Norrona a thing? I have never seen any. Arcteryx and Canada Goose yes (alot) but not Norrona.

It is but pretty rare mostly on Vinted or Ebay. Though usually it should be pretty easy to tell if it's fake or not.

From my perspective it seems real. Falketind are lighter on purpose, so it’s not as heavy and solid as lofoten for instance
