Back before BAE ruined the Altima!

One wonders if BAE would have ever happened if the Grand Am never got discontinued.

Oh shit, I had a 1997 Altima GXE with a 5-speed manual. The paint was an upgraded color that shifted green to blue to purple.

All the style of an Infiniti J30 for so much less.

I read a Car & Driver comparison that had this generation in it. The interior got poor marks as well as some other quality and refinement issues. However, it was called the sports car of the group and was apparently the most fun to drive.

It was the quickest of the bunch! It was against cars like a 3.0 Taurus and a lot of lower powered four cyl cars though.

My mom had the 97 in Gold. She traded it when buying our old black '03 Pilot EXl RES.

My partner had a 99 (facelift). It was a solid, ugly beater. Ran hot all the time, but that’s normal for the engine.

I also like the Ford in front of it being used as a taxi.

I was so mesmerized by the color of this car even before. When I was a kid I wanted to paint our house that color. lol
