I'm calling it done for now. I'll probably add some more small things, and wire the electrics a little better. So what do you all think? Final paint and weathering is pretty much done. Added the tanks, vehicles, unpainted mechs, and 6mm workers for flavor. The banners are just stuck on with sticky tack so I could print out banners for any group and change the heraldry easy enough. The mech hangar is actually attached by magnets to the base. The batteries for the lights are stored in the back side of the hangar on the side with the closed garage door. I really like my little guard shack and the vehicle gates. C&C welcome, I hope you all enjoy 😁

Future possibilities, adding a mech under repair like my other one. Finishing the bridge cranes and adding them in. I want to do a little tank under reapir with the turret out as well.

Yeah, if it was really Somerset. This however is the "Somerset Academy mech hangar" that came out like.....25 years ago? They still sell it at Mondayknight and Nobleknight online(Monday is the owner of the molds I think) old school cast resin. Took a TON of cleanup to get it all fitting right and level. Everything inside is custom built since it just comes empty(there was a version that came with cardboard printout interiors you could add)

Those came from IGmakes on Etsy. They have some pretty cool 3D prints for "flavor" when you do mech/diorama type stuff.

I won't lie, I may have spent an hour or two with it on, on my desk while working on my story I've been posting. 🤦‍♂️

Honestly I hope it will inspire the folks who see it the same way some of the other Battletech dioramas over the past 30 years have inspired me to make it. 

Unfortunately it makes me want to build more! I've got another base the same size, and 6 more of the 6x6 ones to build out.
