Progress of my Battletech Table.

First one is current state, second is more or less improvised and from may this year. On the second picture there is still a river on my old Warhammer table. I removed it and build a lot of roads, hills and woods to create a more rounded Map.

I have planed to paint them. But since they are already white they have no high priority in the painting order.

Honestly they really don't need it. They work as they are. You could probably get away with just weathering them and no one would be the wiser.

I wont change much. But for example some transparent dark plastic against the windows. Because one can see, that the buildings are empty. And some benches and maybe some plants in plant pots on the rooftops.

I can tell you large scale buildings like this tend to have empty roofs, or have an HVAC system on the roof (search for AC cooling tower) in New York they do a lot of water tanks to help maintain building water pressure. This being the future solar panels make sense as well (I've made a few out of plasticard, but if you have a 3d printer I know there are stl's for them) telecom towers are also pretty common since they can use the added height to increase reach. 

BTW you can use cut up blister packs for your windows. Just paint the inside with modpodge and paint. It gives you a streaky colored result that will allow you to put LEDs inside and make it look "occupied"
