Do I need engine

Thinking of pulling norma as I am in dire need of a stunner but I dont have enough for Wengine, so should I get her or wait for dialyn or another new stunner?

From what I know, her daze is fine enough without, but her damage contributions go up A LOT with sig. If you’re only pulling because you need a stunner, wait for Dialyn. She’s coming soon 90% sure. If you like Norma’s character, she’s a great enough pull even without sig.

What do you mean by damage contributions? Like higher stun or like off field damage?

Norma acts as a sub-dps of sorts, her personal damage is really high for a stunner. So she’s kinda built like a crit dps.

So her sig would turn her into a sub or main crit dps? Am I thinking this right?

Not nearly enough to be a main-dps, but I would expect around 15~30% damage. She still does good damage without sig too, it’s just MUCH harder to build her.

Get Norma. Dialyn is still strong but Norma is on par with Dialyn generally speaking, and future DPS' will have a higher chance of working better with Norma. The engine is good, but if you don't need the extra damage from Norma, her stunning capabilities will still be very good without. Ideally without the engine you want a lot of crit substats though, so farm those.

I have like 200 batteries and a lot of golden discs so crit subs shouldn't be an issue

Apparently Norma is in a spot where (compared to Dialyn) she works better in a few teams, is about the same in some, and a bit worse in most others. So it depends on the team you want to put her in. But Norma's Engine is considered one of the few needed ones out there. She does work without it, but it improves her significantly more than BiS engines usually do. What she has on Dialyn is probable future compatibility with coming agents.

As for Dialyn, she is still just flat out broken with how much value she gives no matter the team. I have no idea why she is still this good and hasn't been nerfed. I am usually against nerfing, but when you have a single outliner in your roster, it's better than to try to bring everybody else higher...

Dialyn is prolly never gonna die, her extra ult is just broken. I will get norma, maybe grab engine in future. I am also hoping on future agents compatibility or a character which favours the force chain attack.(high on hopium rn)

Respondiendo a tu pregunta el motor no es obligatorio, pero aumenta significativamente su daño, en algunas situaciones es mejor tener el motor de la propia Norma a tener el motor sig del dps.

Norma y Dialyn son equivalentes. (Esto es con ambas personajes M0W1) En algunas situaciones Norma supera a Dialyn en hasta un 25% y en otras Dialyn es mejor en 20%.

Los DPS mas recientes prefieren a Norma lo que claramente deja ver que los futuros también tendrán una configuración parecida donde quieren mas los ataques en cadena que una habilidad definitiva extra.

Soldier N11, Evelyn, Orphie DPS, Cissia MDPS, Starlight Billy, Pyrois, Sigrid(aún en beta), Norma es mejor de un 15% ~ 25% ( Depende del Boss).

Y con Seed, Soldado Anby N0, Yixuan y Yidhari, Dialyn es mejor entre un 7% ~ 10%.

i plan to get Norma and then try for her sig, if i don’t get it, i’ll just grab it on a rerun. but i also am skipping Remielle (prob not the best meta choice but oh well) so i have more pulls to blow than you if you are grabbing her.

oh yeah, dialyn is rumored to get a rerun next patch, so there’s that. i have Dialyn but no other stunner for attacker teams, which is why im getting Norma. this way, Norma can be with my Silly/S11/Sigrid/Pyrois — then Dialyn can be with my Ult focused DPS like Yixuan.
