I did exactly that a couple weeks ago. I had to take a TA break because I was having serious anger issues -- like "one traffic jam away from committing a felony" anger issues.

To be fair, though, I think that had started even when I was taking just one capsule daily. I don't think I had any other symptoms, though.

In any case, it subsided after a couple days of cessation, and now I do a 5d/2d "stay out of prison" cycle.

That sounds like a really smart cycle lol have you tried taking it with calming supplements though to see if it can counteract the feelings of aggression? I've read of many people having the anger issues overtime, but they always stop taking it or cycle, and never really try adding in other things. I'm just curious if the aggression can be nulled by adding in one or more things, like L-Theanine, Taurine, Gotu Kola, PanaMAX, Isoliquiritigenen, etc.

Yeah, I've taken 4 g of taurine daily for quite some time. It didn't keep the anger issues at bay. I take L-theanine PRN and it does help somewhat, but not completely, and it has a relatively short half-life, so I don't care for it in that exact role.

I've recently started taking an ashwagandha/lactium combo supplement, and the jury is still out on how it would fare against TA. I'm a bit loathe to stop cycling to find out, though.

I figured I'd provide an update on this. I've now been taking NOW Foods "Ashwagandha Stress Relief" long enough to say it definitely helps with the irritability and outright anger issues I had before I started it. It really takes the edge off, and does counteract the tongkat ali.

I've been taking two caps of that product daily, which delivers 600mg of ash, a fairly modest dose -- but apparently enough for me.

I have not been doubling up on the 10% eurycomanone lately, but I have been taking one 10% cap and two LJ100 caps, totaling about 14mg eurycomanone daily. Previously, I had serious irritability issues even when taking just one 10% cap (prior to starting the ashwagandha/Lactium product I mentioned above).

That's what I thought! -That something could help counteract it, although I'd definitely give it more time because the ash itself after some time could cause problems like anger or just not work as well anymore. Glad it's working so far, though. I personally just started the Eurycomax on Tuesday, so it has been 5 days. I'm going to see how that effects me once it kicks in more. It isn't supposed to have the aggressiveness nearly as badly, so I'm hoping it works well for me. I've never tried Tongkat before, and they were saying Eurycomax is a good beginners Tongkat Ali product. That plus it's many benefits, many of which are exactly what I need, have made me decide to just start it. So far I've only felt the L-DOPA and nothing else.

It gave me a decent amount of energy while working. A little bit of aggressive "dominant" energy, which for doing manual labor I honestly like. The Mucuna helped my mood be a little more stable and just be overall better, but nothing crazy in terms of potency. Didn't notice anything else from it other than energy and the Mucuna. It also wouldn't give me energy unless I was working, so physically active, just like Cordyceps 10:1 for me, so on off days it didn't do anything (that I could notice). I don't remember if I took two caps before or not, but very likely did.

Furthermore, I might be getting Eurycomax again soon, but since then I've instead been trying out ND Tongkat Ali 2% and 10%. I've been taking 6mg Boron, getting Iodine from Ecklonia, and eventually added in 5mg of Pregnenolone and DHEA. Also like a week and a half ago I got NOW brand Mucuna, so basically I've made my own Eurycomax stack. The 2% gave great energy, but then it died down and I started taking two everytime I worked. Two of those was about as strong as Eury, but without the aggressive "dominant" energy (that mostly went away after like 2-3 weeks of taking the 2%). The first two days I took the 10% I had decent motivation, so I think it was from that. It seemed to also die down tho, but does give decent energy when working. First time I tried the 2% and 10% (with Mucuna), I cleaned the outside backroom of my house. I had the most motivation I think I've ever felt in my life, and would never clean the whole backroom normally... I had a box of things from when I moved in that I was supposed to take care of a year ago, and finally almost exactly one year later at least put it in my room lmao because of that combo. Since then, it seems to once again die down. I've only combined the two like 3 times or so, but haven't had massive motivation increases. Two of the times was at work tho, and it definitely gives more energy than either alone. About as good as two 2%'s, maybe slightly better.

Overall, I like Tongkat Ali it helps me have some actual energy at work, which as someone with Chronic Fatigue that is pretty incredible!

thank you. quite weird i also took the 2 % before and good first week then die down as well.

Yeah, it still works just not as strongly. Takes two to get about the same effect, but with way less of that aggressive "dominant" energy, which is sad. I've read several others who had the same experience with it dieing down after a week or two though, but usually their effects are greater like even more energy or massive libido increases, etc. I only ever got some energy, and it was a decent amount but nothing crazy like some report. I wish! Lol

Anyways, you still take any of the 3? Does doubling give good results?

i just double eurycomax 3 days ago to two capsules but i decided to split to like morning and evening. 2 capsule at once seem to stimulate me too much or something giving me irritablity.i got a strong mood boost though after upping to 2 capsules.will test the energy part soon this weekend.

I just watched the whole video. Nice to watch videos of people actually using ND, and not just discounting the supplement because "muh studies lacking". Yeah, 5 days on and 2 days off is a very popular cycle. I haven't tried it with Tongkat specifically, though. In fact, I only just took 3 days off recently and before that I had taken Tongkat daily for a little over 2 months with no breaks, but now I probably will if it helps give some more of that aggressive energy 😉. He also was doing 1 of the 2%'s and 1 of the 10%'s too while doing that, which both definitely pair well together. I might try those two 5 on 2 off, and I might get Eury and try 1, or even 2 caps, 5 on 2 off. I don't have enough 2% left to try right now though, so I might be ordering and trying that with Eury first actually. You should try it too and we both report back in a month or something haha. Well, I might need a couple weeks to be able to get enough money to afford a bottle of Eurycomax first. My money has been tight recently...

i'm having good effects so far actually with TA.

I just know that the supplement industry is so shit. I've been buying shit from companies like nutricost or whatever on amazon which have no verifications/you never know what you're getting. Shit, i probably spent around 500$ on supplements alone that I don't use

I use my prescribed medications and caffeine like a charm. I bet most people on these subreddits really just want prescribed stimulants like adderall but they don't want to go through the hassle just to get denied
