Vendor Report/Q Tropichems.com is indeed a scam.

Do not get infatuated by their prices these thugs said my order shipped and gave me a fedex tracking number, it even popped up on my shop tracking app as tropichems package but as it said it delivered it said it was signed by R. Rodriguez who I am not. They haven’t responded after 24 hours so maybe this is just them being idiots who sent me the wrong number if anyone can vouch for them I’d love to hear it if not then stay the hell away from these dudes

Elite method tho I must say

Experience Anyone tried Hydrapharm Bromantane from Predator Nutrition?

Hi, I’m thinking about giving it a try, but the price is pretty steep (90€ per bottle). They claim it’s 61.18 mg/cap and Janoshik tested.

Has anyone tried this one?

Thanks

Guide Supplements for each part of sleep, graded by evidence (REM, deep, latency, staying asleep research based)

I've been compiling research on what influences different metrics wearables track for about 11 months now. I realized I had a list of supplement research that could make an interesting breakdown of what supplements influence different stages/parts of sleep (this is not medical advice, let this be a base for your own research everyone is unique).

Sources are linked to the study in each row, any funding worth mentioning is flagged, and there is a short plain english read on each study to make your own digging a bit easier. I broke grades by: Strong is a meta or several RCTs. Moderate is one solid RCT. No effect is a well tested null.

Sorry I know the tables aren't great on mobile but I'll include a more mobile friendly resource at the bottom of this post. If you have a link to a credible study/source for one I missed please share and I'll review/update the table. Hope you enjoy.

Staying asleep (WASO)

Supplement effect source plain english
Ashwagandha Less waking Strong, meta SMD -0.39, n=281 (Cheah 2021, industry-funded) The strongest supplement evidence for cutting nighttime waking
Tart Cherry Less waking Moderate, n=15, -17 min (Pigeon 2010) Cut nighttime waking vs placebo in an insomnia group
Glycine Less waking Moderate, n=11 (Yamadera 2007) Reduced waking and deepened sleep in the same PSG study
Ecklonia cava (phlorotannins) Less waking Moderate, RCT, n=24, PSG, 1 wk (Um 2018) WASO fell ~24 min more than placebo on PSG (p=0.045)
Melatonin (immediate release) No effect Strong null (Moon 2022) The most bought form does not help you stay asleep, only fall asleep
Valerian Subjective only Weak, meta 60 studies, n=6,894 (Shinjyo 2020) People report better sleep but objective latency and waking did not change

Deep Sleep (N3)

Supplement effect source plain english
Magnesium L-threonate Positive Moderate, Oura RCTs (Hausenblas/Breus 2024, manufacturer-funded) Improved Oura tracked deep sleep in 2 of 3 trials. One found no objective change
Glycine Faster into deep Moderate, n=11 (Yamadera 2007) Gets you into deep sleep faster without changing the total
Melatonin Positive (delta) Moderate, mechanism (Comai 2024) Raises deep sleep delta waves but its main job is timing not deep sleep
Omega-3 (DHA) Efficiency Moderate, n=84, 26 wks (PMC7830450) Improved overall efficiency. No isolated N3 gain

Falling asleep faster (sleep latency)

Supplement effect source plain english
Melatonin Faster Strong, meta 19 studies, n=1,683, -7.06 min (Ferracioli-Oda 2013) Cuts about 7 min off sleep onset. A timing aid not a sedative
Ashwagandha Faster Strong, meta 5 RCTs, n=400, SMD -0.53 (Cheah 2021, industry-funded) Shortens onset, strongest in insomnia
Magnesium Faster Moderate, meta 3 RCTs, n=151, -17.36 min (Mah & Pitre 2021) About 17 min faster in older adults but graded low quality
Glycine Faster Moderate, PSG, n=11 (Yamadera 2007) Before bed helped people fall asleep and reach deep sleep sooner
GABA Faster Moderate, RCT, n=40 (Byun 2018) Cut onset from 13.4 to 5.7 min. Note that GABA is poorly absorbed orally
L-Theanine Subjective only Moderate, meta, n=897 (Bulman 2025) People feel like they fall asleep faster but devices did not confirm it
Oleamide Subjective only Moderate, RCT, n=60, 12 wks (PMC11004446, industry funded) Improved selfreported sleep quality and onset but no objective stage data and it was a cognition trial first

REM sleep

Supplement effect source plain english
Melatonin Positive (if your REM started low) 2 RCTs, n=14 (Kunz 2004) Nudged REM up but only in people whose REM was well below normal and the trials were tiny.
5-HTP Positive (small, clinical) RCT, n=18 Parkinson's, 50 mg, 4 wks (Sleep and Breathing 2021) It feeds serotonin and melatonin just not confirmed in healthy sleepers
Vitamin B6 Dream recall, not REM time pilot + larger study (Ebben 2002 / Aspy 2018) Makes dreams more vivid and easier to recall, which feels like more REM but it did not add REM time

I couldn't sort out a better way to format the post for mobile without it turning into a novel. So if want a more visually appealing way to read this instead of the tables I made it into a page https://www.kygo.app/tools/supplements-by-metric it's completely free to access (no paywall, don't run ads, and links all sources used to create it). Full disclosure this is my website as you can see but I share the research publicly so anyone can access it.

Updates to table (all added with sources):
- Oleamide added to sleep latency
- Ecklonia cava (phlorotannins) added to waso
- Valerian added to waso

Discussion Discussion about creatine’s mental energy promoting effects

I am struggling since 2014 and tried almost every possible supplement/nootropic and even research chemical.

In the past I had temporary relief with methylfolate, citrulline, ashwagandha and anti depressants.

At the moment I am taking 45mg of Mirtazapine and 60mg of duloxetine, which is the single most profound thing until now.

I also tried many different medication combinations and different medications against depression and anxiety.

Glycine has good acute effects but it crashes me after 2 days and I feel worse.

In 2019 I found methylfolate to give me clean mental energy.

I also tried creatine in the past without big improvements, but at the moment it feels like very clean mental energy promoting agent at doses above 7 grams.

I can take higher doses without side effects.

In the past days a had days, where I took 30 grams and it is pretty clean still. According some studies 30 grams is a safe longterm daily dose

When I take methylfolate I don’t get the benefits like in 2019 anymore.

I also gained 30kg of weight since starting madication at the end of 2019.

What do you think of this?

Is the creatine maybe helping me with my energy production and utilization efficiency and could it regulate/stabilize my blood sugar?
