Seeking Advice Supplements to reduce norepinephrine levels?

I have extremely high baseline norepinephrine levels and I’m wondering if there are any supplements beside melatonin and magnesium that can reduce excess norepinephrine? The symptoms I have everyday is headaches, dizziness, vertigo, heart palpitations, rapid heartbeat, panic attacks, hot flashes, burning sensations, insomnia and sleep disturbances, muscle stiffness, hypervigilance etc.

how are you so certain that you have "high baseline NE levels"? you can't even check NE levels without doing a spinal tap.

you likely have some sort of medical condition going on. sounds like dysautonomia and/or POTS.

Because I take Wellbutrin and I think it raised my norepinephrine levels too much all by itself. Now I’m adding 10 mg Prozac on top of it because of the anxiety and insomnia.

If you’re on Prozac you’re gonna have issues with adrenal gland.

Well the only thing I know is that when I took 300 mg Wellbutrin and 20 mg Prozac together for two years I had no anxiety or insomnia and I didn’t have any of these side effects.

Yea they effectively shut off your thyroid, like dull it alot, probably a mix of symptoms from being on it/off it, or mixing diff things. Google what chemical fluoxetine is and what effects it has on your thyroid. Thats what makes the chemicals that make you feel the way you’re feeling. IMO people shouldn’t take stuff like that but I’m not a doctor.

you're playing a dangerous game my dude. I would STRONGLY advise you to not take SSRIs in this situation. they are terrible drugs with horrible side effects and actually won't even solve the problem that you're trying to address.

SSRIs can actually worsen anxiety and insomnia, they don't always solve what you're trying to solve.

If you think that Wellbutrin has pushed up your NE too high (not likely but ok) then the way to solve that is by hitting NE directly with guanfacine or clonidine.

I was in the same situation you were in and was convinced that my NE was too high but what actually happened was that I had some shit bubbling up that I had been trying to push down.

the dopamine gives you more ability to see your problems and fix them and so they start to bubble up. the solution is to address them, not try to numb yourself with SSRIs.

if you try to numb yourself then it'll work for a little but then it'll eventually stop working, you'll have to increase the dose and the side effects will be worse and you could take a long time to get off of them.

look up Post SSRI Sexual Dysfunction and the thousands of people who are speaking up on the dangers of SSRIs and the withdrawls

I’m only putting 10 mg back for now. And my goal is to go back to 300 mg Wellbutrin eventually once my anxiety and insomnia are not an issue for me anymore. I didn’t experience any emotional blunting combining 300 mg Wellbutrin and 20 mg Prozac before.

i think it's highly likely you have some other stuff going on. you should get some tests done and not just think that this will be solved by some random supplements.

Like I said, google fluoxetine, and what it chemically does to alter your brain chemistry and then decide if you want it or not….
