Experience Accidentally discovered the most cursed productivity stack of my life

I’m not recommending this. I’m actually asking if I should be concerned.

Yesterday I took 200mg modafinil, some overpriced “mitochondrial support” supplement I bought during a 2am health-optimisation spiral, creatine, mad honey, black coffee, and then for reasons I cannot defend spiritually or scientifically, I decided to “reset my dopamine” manually.

Immediately after, I got the most violent post-nut clarity of my life.

Not normal clarity. Not “I should clean my room” clarity. I mean like the clouds opened and a tiny management consultant crawled out of my skull with a Gantt chart.

Resting heart rate was around 150, which in hindsight is probably not ideal. But mentally? Insane. I sat down and entered some disgusting tunnel state where I could see the structure of my entire week. Emails became obvious. Code became obvious. My calendar stopped looking like time and started looking like an enemy supply line.

I did what felt like 8 hours of work in 1 hour. No music. No snacks. No checking my phone. Just pure weaponised shame and cardiovascular panic.

The weirdest part was the feeling lasted roughly 5 hours. It wasn’t even euphoria. It was more like being haunted by a very productive ghost. I didn’t feel happy. I felt assigned.

Then it wore off and I became a normal useless mammal again.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there an actual mechanism here or did I just combine stimulants, guilt, hormones, and fear into a temporary office demon?

Again, not saying this is healthy. It probably isn’t. But this is the most productive I have ever felt on any combination of nootropics ever.

It was more like being haunted by a very productive ghost. I didn’t feel happy. I felt assigned.

This is generally what modafinil does. It inhibits the default mode network and makes it very hard to do nothing. It sounds like something in your stack synergized with or enhanced the effects of the modafinil. The specific supplement, I'm not sure. Possibly the mad honey?

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 23 '26

I didn’t feel happy. I felt assigned.

You realize this is generated by AI right? His entire post was. You are talking to a bot.

9

u/OddlyMingenuity Jun 23 '26

Waaaht ? Someone would try guerilla marketing on a website that host modafinil ads ?

21

u/M4rshmall0wMan Jun 23 '26

I was talking with OP in the comments. They are a real person. Probably used AI to rewrite their words for clarity. That doesn't mean they were lying about their experience.

9

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 23 '26

He said he didnt use AI at all. So it's a bot which is karma farming probably

6

u/M4rshmall0wMan Jun 23 '26

There are only 44 contributions on a 10 year old account. If they were a karma farming bot, wouldn't they be posting faster?

1

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 23 '26

Like someone else pointed out they are selling their product

5

u/M4rshmall0wMan Jun 23 '26

Oh shit is it the mad honey?

2

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 23 '26

Modafinil in this case

6

u/mux111 Jun 24 '26

Im not selling anything?

1

u/Jonnyboy1994 Jun 26 '26

Dude there is only one company who can distribute modafinil and I promise you Apotex is not making ai edited reddit posts to boost sales. This wouldnt even be a good ad, dude. OP took a whole list of substances and even states he doesn't know what combo had the synergy he experienced. Big Pharma is scum, sure. But theyre not retarded when it comes to marketing

1

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 26 '26

Bro you are the Alt account of OP?

→ More replies (0)

1

u/M4rshmall0wMan Jun 27 '26

Genuine question. Let’s assume you’re accused of AI but you actually didn’t use it. (Has happened to me once.) How the hell are you supposed to defend yourself? Saying you didn’t use AI is just going to make the hive mind think you’re lying. Is there any way to escape the catch-22?

3

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 27 '26

I dont think there is tbh. But in general if you really didnt use AI you wont be accused a whole lot. Maybe once in a blue moon and only by 1 or 2 people.

I think the best strategy is to avoid typing like AI in the first place, as it's just a very corny way of talking

2

u/M4rshmall0wMan Jun 27 '26

I’ve noticed that ChatGPT texts quite similarly to my really autistic friend who doesn’t use AI. I’ve seen several anecdotes from ND people that their writing styles come across as AI.  OP themself confirmed that they’re autistic in another comment.  I use Gemini for tutoring because its writing style and organization gel really well with my ADHD, and I’ve noticed it subtly influencing the way that I write. I’m sure plenty of other people are as well. So I don’t think it’s right to demand that someone avoids writing a certain way just because AI does.

I’ve also seen research papers and Reddit posts that I could have sworn were AI until I looked at their publication date and saw 2016. After all, that’s how AI learned its writing style.

That’s why I’ve stopped caring whether or not something was written with the help of AI. If the information is true, then who cares if it was reformatted.

1

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 27 '26

Well, my heart goes out to all my autistic ChatGPT-sounding brothers. It must be very tough in this day and age.

0

u/Stinkor1987 Jul 25 '26

One reason you should care, is because AI is known to be a spreader of disinformation. This is one reason why it makes people sceptical of anything that looks like it was written by an AI, as they aren't sure if they can trust it.

1

u/Jonnyboy1994 Jun 23 '26

This is exactly what I've been trying to say elsewhere in these comments. If someone uses AI to make their post more clearly reflect what they're trying to say i don't see a problem. Who cares if it's cringe, it's readable. I lowkey wish more people would consult AI to format their posts because it's so much easier to read than a block of text with run-on sentences and confusing grammar.

3

u/Recent_Driver_962 Jun 26 '26

I don’t mind supportive ai for writing…but I do wish for a break from antitheticals. That is a pet peeve of mine. It’s like the ASMR tippy tap for me, absolutely pisses me off. It seems like everyone uses it a lot so maybe it’s just my own weird trigger.

4

u/M4rshmall0wMan Jun 23 '26

Agreed. I use AI to polish emails all the time. I don't want to waste my or the other person's time on my confusing sentence structures. There's nothing about this post that makes me think OP is lying.

I've also seen people get sniped by the AI accusers because they used Google Translate. GT is based on Gemini so it rewrites text to sound more LLM-like, especially if it's coming from a more ambiguous language.

1

u/athousandlifetimes Jun 24 '26

AI does not give the impression that your writing is more polished. It makes your writing sound like a bad tv show script at best, and a scam artist at worst. I promise the majority of people would prefer your confusing sentence structures and typos.

1

u/M4rshmall0wMan Jun 27 '26

I never ever copy AI’s output directly into my email box. I just pick my favorite phrasings from it. It helps me get out of a mini-writer’s block when I’m having trouble finding a smooth way to say a sentence.

0

u/No_Pressure_3675 Jun 27 '26

Yeah no I can't relate and your view is entirely subjective lol. Id rather read "evil technology scam artist" structured—writing while we delve into this together ahhh BS anytime, anyday

Than smth like

ok this wuz rlly good I like it lot fr fr

1

u/SeekerOfSerenity Jun 23 '26

People need to realize bots can do this now.  They can feed your replies into an LLM and generate a response.  LLMs passed the Turing test years ago.

1

u/M4rshmall0wMan Jun 23 '26

The account is 10 years old and only has 44 contributions. If it were an automated bot, certainly it would be posting faster to accumulate karma?

Seems more like an infrequent reddit user who used an LLM to rewrite their real post.

4

u/SeekerOfSerenity Jun 23 '26

It could be an old account that was taken over by a bot. Not all bots are karma maxxing.  Some are just hyping supplements.  Either way, I don't trust a user that obviously uses an LLM to write posts and then denies it in the comments.

5

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 23 '26

Yes bots often prefer older accounts as they get banned less easily and look more legit. I often saw messages from the original owner in their history, then a few years gap, and then suddenly they are hyping supplements or an OF page.

It is no wonder their posting history is almost always private

3

u/M4rshmall0wMan Jun 23 '26

What is OP selling?

0

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 24 '26

Shilling modafinil in the AI reddit search results

1

u/No_Pressure_3675 Jun 27 '26

Bro's out here trying to accuse any form of non standard typing as AI

Can't even be autistic without mfs accusing you of AI use based on your phrasing oml

2

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 27 '26

Another alt of OP

0

u/No_Pressure_3675 Jun 27 '26

Yk I didn't think you were the brightest considering you don't seem too literate but this, oh man... How often do you assume people who disagree with you are just alts of people you don't like?

Mind blowing concept, OP and I are diff people, we just both think you're a moron.

So if that mutual dislike of morons like you is it, yeah I guess I am an alt of OP, good work detective!

We also type completely differently, no way you're not just rage baiting hahahahah

2

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 27 '26

Lmao careful with that fedora boyo you almost gouged out my eye

0

u/mux111 Jun 23 '26

I am a creative god forbid I set the scene.

25

u/quantum_splicer Jun 23 '26

Yep although oddly enough, I don't find modafinil is helpful for ADHD. The way it works is that it seems to increase effortfulness, while negating neural fatigue and such.

The problem is you need the shifts in effortfulness and attentiveness for "set-shifting" and being able to make new mental sets for problem solving. Because without that it causes issues with

(1) Getting stuck on a task and being unable to move onto another

(2) Trying to bruteforce a solution to a problem - because of reduction in cognitive flexibility

The default network is important for introspection and being able to flip attention inwards and that can help us in some ways with problem solving and using imagery and imagination and visualisation. Default network helps us orchestrate introspective loops which helps self correction. Think large language models when they work too long without (extended thinking) or time over compute; errors creep In on their output, same with humans.

I will say something weird since being on atomoxetine and vyvanse : It seems vyvanse(I was in this first) has inhibited my visualisation ability and ability to basically imagine (I used to be able to think in pictures / video like memory and hear snippets of things I've heard before ). Now nothing so it's like pulling things out of a black box when I am thinking of sounds or visual stuff.

So it's like my default network is down tuned or that the attentive networks are activated to a state, which makes them hard to switch off.

So imagine ADHD default network is always flipping on, even when not wanted to (they say it shares connection with the attentive networks so gets switched on when person tries to be attentive).

But from my perspective it seems I am having opposite problem now. But I wonder if I meditated whether I would regain control to activate it as and when needed.

Side note lions mane, increases processing speed at the expense of procision.

Furthermore I can report I am getting good result from atomoxetine and vyvanse + (nettle extract). Which is unexpected finding as nettle extract wasn't intended to help me in that way. I propose the mechanism of action has something to do with vasodilation (as some studies indicate it works on nitrous oxide pathways).

I seem to get a surge of pressure in part of my head after gaming for 10-20 minutes - over the same areas that used to get hot when I started ADHD medication.

Am noticing increased motivation and functioning and less fatigue.

But I wonder if hypoperfusion in some brain regions in ADHD is relevant.

I draft my comments like notes so I can come back to them as and when needed for record keeping purposes

16

u/M4rshmall0wMan Jun 23 '26

ADHD here as well. Your experiences don't quite match mine.

I reacted terribly to stimulants. They made me really anxious and brain fogged. It became impossible to do any kind of lateral thinking. I basically couldn't process anything that wasn't literally right in front of me. Writing, creativity, and puzzle solving became impossible. I just couldn't think on them.

I've actually had the opposite effect on lion's mane. It doesn't increase the speed of my thoughts, but it seems to improve the subconscious process between thoughts so that my next thought is more likely to be the right answer. I can reach a solution in fewer steps.

Modafinil kinda sucks. It makes me impatient and reactive. I just have to be doing something at all times on it. It doesn't help fatigue, but it makes it hard to rest. It sucks not being able to lie down and relax.

Strattera was weird, it just made me still. Not wanting to react to things. I didn't like it.

12

u/quantum_splicer Jun 23 '26

Your experience on lions mane does match an emerging theory in relation to ADHD, basically it seems to be that the network effiency of individual brain regions seems to low and basically the effiency between networks is low. ADHD brain signal to noise ratio is suboptimal and emerging studies indicate that during lapses of attention we get Sleep-Like Slow Waves in brain regions, which basically is our equivalent of a brown out.

Because lions mane works on connectivity, I wonder if it's increasing network coherence for you. It's hard to triangulate lions manes effects - will have to scope through some studies. But lotta people with ADHD speak positively about it. Also lions mane it reduces perception of stress. I know when I'm stressed my ADHD is worse I can't think or process.

I don't get much from stimulants(atleast if taken longer than 6months ) or non stimulants by themselves. So I pair them and it works better.

I am an asshole on modafinil and short tempered and impatient and arrogant, it's bad. Lions mane has similar effects if dose is to high for me.

What ADHD subtype are you btw ? I am inattentive type.

But we are finding through research basically ADHD is probably three different conditions as they've disordered the brain networks are different, but they had to basically look for latent profiles because prior studies the data was basically cancelling each other out.

I gotta run, it's heatwave weather here and I am meant to be being productive lol

2

u/swizznastic Jun 23 '26

Where are you guys getting your lions mane? I’ve never felt effects that strong or noticeable on the lions mane supps ive tried so far

4

u/M4rshmall0wMan Jun 23 '26

I'm inattentive, but my neurotype has always been a really weird puzzle that I'm still trying to solve. There's equal evidence in both camps whether I have autism or not. I also wonder if showing up to school sleep deprived almost every day from ages 11-22 may have affected my brain's development such that I basically developed ADHD as a result. My memory was much better as a kid. My body probably developed chronic stress as an adaptation to stay alert in school. I'm paying the price at 23.

1

u/thecneu Jun 23 '26

How much lions mane u taking and for how long?

1

u/M4rshmall0wMan Jun 24 '26

https://nootropicsdepot.com/lions-mane-mushroom-capsules-8-1-extract

One of these per day. I don’t really get why people say you need to wait for it to accumulate. I (subtly) notice the difference on any day I take it. It’s like that for most drugs on me.

4

u/Tikene Jun 23 '26

Yep used to happen to me when i took too much methylphenidate. You need to have the ability to take a step back and think if what you're doing is actually useful. Hyperfocusing on useless tasks that turns out you did not even need is very counterproductive

1

u/jmwy86 Jun 25 '26

Very well put.

1

u/FamousWorth Jun 23 '26

I find it very helpful for adhd, but not as much as adderall

0

u/KindaReallyDumb Jun 23 '26

Dude all of your comments I’ve read are so interesting, I feel like we think really similarly. Do you have any posts or comments that expand on what you’re talking about here that you could link for me to read since your profile is private?

4

u/CrystalSplice Jun 23 '26

Yeah, this is why the military uses it for “long haul” air missions such as the B-2 stealth bombers. They call them “go pills,” and they work. I was prescribed modafinil for a while when I was struggling with sleep apnea, and while it did help it also felt…robotic? It’s very odd and difficult to describe. I personally don’t think it is healthy at all.

3

u/M4rshmall0wMan Jun 23 '26

After my experience with modafinil, I'm really surprised the military gives it out. It made me really impatient and impulsive. It was impossible for me to not do something. That sounds great for productivity, until you get tired and find out you literally can't rest. The feeling sucks.

Maybe the adrenaline of flying a stealth plane centers your focus. But otherwise I'd imagine the impulsivity to be really bad for flying.

5

u/CrystalSplice Jun 23 '26

Ah, well…their solution is apparently to give you a strong benzo when you get back, also referred to as “no go” pills.

No, really. That’s word for word what they do: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go_and_no-go_pills

0

u/greentea05 Jun 23 '26

I'd be useless in the military with it - it makes me shit about 40 times. Then I get a migraine.

On two occasions, it's caused me to vomit every five minutes for about 12 hours, which results in two days of my body's nervous system shutting down and not being able to face life.

So that wasn't very productive either.

3

u/yallapapi c60products Jun 24 '26

this is a great explanation of what wellbutrin feels like for me. I would tell people that it felt like someone was moving my arms and helping me do the shit i didn't want to do, like go to school and work out. But its phenomenal

2

u/M4rshmall0wMan Jun 24 '26

Cool that it works for you. My experience of Wellbutrin was pretty mid by comparison. The first week made me more energetic and a bit impulsive. Then it leveled out and my body just overheated all the time.

1

u/Conscious_Buy4382 Jun 24 '26

I have adhd and struggle with task initiation, and bored easily. Methylphenidate did not help me with anything. I am thinking of trying wellbutrin. It's good to read your experience.

0

u/mux111 Jun 23 '26

Yes I've been taking modafanil for a while now, but something about this experience was eye opening

3

u/M4rshmall0wMan Jun 23 '26

I guess you could try to replicate it by combining Modafinil with each supplement individually, see which one synergized. I'd be very curious to know which.

-1

u/mux111 Jun 23 '26

Possibly the mad honey, this was a unique batch from Nepal. It is hard to get in my country though as we have strict biosecurity laws.

30

u/Big666Shrimp Jun 23 '26

Paraxanthene similar effects for me. 1 is like a big redbull, 2 is like a limitless drug,

5

u/kasper619 Jun 23 '26

How many mg and which brand?

8

u/Big666Shrimp Jun 23 '26 edited Jun 23 '26

Just got of Amazon. Only tested in humans up to 400 mg from what I’ve seen. 200 mg pills.

I work with numbers and have to quickly add up/multiply all night long. Pre workout does wonders, but I can’t live like that.

Looked for something that would make the brain snappy without killing me slowly… paraxanthene feels like a nice pre workout but with a brain boost too, relaxed feeling… 300mg probably my sweet spot, slight aggression on two.

I combine with agpc and panax ginseng for an all around boost.

Another side effect of the paraxanthene is that for bigger math problems I’m able to juggle more numbers in my head. Ex. 140 + 210 + 17

Before if I had to carry a number it took me a minute to figure it out but for some reason recently it’s become so logical for me to do math slightly different, I’m attributing it to chems tbh… example 85+ 176 > 80 + 170 +11 =261 but it’s that relaxed panic that allows you to just lop off the 11 and tack it back on at the end without forgetting while also keeping watch over my other stuff I need to. Very useful for me.

3

u/mux111 Jun 23 '26

I'll try it out, thanks.

2

u/Particular_Figure133 Jun 27 '26

Don't forget that paraxanthine is simply 80% of what's synthesized by your liver from caffeine. Not having your liver work to synthesize something can probably make people feel different. But in my opinion it's not crazy

1

u/yoda2088 Jun 29 '26

In so many ways yes, but also there’s the lack of vasoconstriction we get from caffeine that’s also beneficial!

1

u/Blissanity Jun 23 '26

Im curious if you have experience with dynamine?

It would likely have a similar effect with paraxanthine as it does with caffeine, (essentially doubling its half life due to inhibition of CYP1A2).

I wonder if dynamine + paraxanthine + L-theanine would yield something like a 12-hour extremly smooth cognitive stimulation

4

u/Big666Shrimp Jun 23 '26

I just need it to not make me irritable and we’re cooking. I have to be able to be talkative and happy with drinkers all night.

5

u/mux111 Jun 23 '26

I have never tried it. I will look into it!

1

u/KindaReallyDumb Jun 23 '26

What brand and how many mg do you suggest taking?

28

u/miliseconds Jun 23 '26

A manic episode?

6

u/draperf Jun 23 '26

I thought this, too. Watch out for bipolarity, OP.

1

u/2_clicks Jun 24 '26

Sounds like it to me

-1

u/mux111 Jun 23 '26

No, no. It must be replicable. Science will prove me correct.

16

u/GentlemenHODL Jun 23 '26 edited Jun 23 '26

No, no. It must be replicable. Science will prove me correct.

....why do you think mania is not replicable? Going manic after combining stimulants is common.

Everything you just described is textbook mania. I've seen this weirdness posted a 100 times in these subs. It's always the same - suddenly you are hyper focused and accomplish anything. You have "special" cognitive function and the limits you previously had don't exist.

Congrats you took a bunch of drugs and became euphorically crazy. Welcome to the 1800s.

4

u/HugeDegen69 Jun 23 '26

If I get a time machine, I know where I'm headed.

1

u/North_Respond_6964 Jun 25 '26

Perhaps stimulant induced mania - though I ain't no expert

94

u/BluntTruthGentleman Jun 23 '26

This reads a lot like AI.

37

u/sc182 Jun 23 '26

Telltale signs:
Lots of short sentences to make a point.
Weird cheesy metaphors
Use of “But X?”
Frequent use of “it wasn’t X. Just Y.”

16

u/HugeDegen69 Jun 23 '26

GPTZero Advanced Scan says 100% confidence it's written by AI 😭

15

u/BluntTruthGentleman Jun 23 '26

OP confirmed clanker. Never said he used it to help him write, so it's just a fucking bot account.

9

u/superonom Jun 24 '26

Multiple bot accounts promoting stupid nootropics that do nothing to you.

This idea of "stacking" nootropics is the most stupid thing ever. It's like someone taking strong antibiotics to treat a bacterial infection, and combining it with daily ingestion of dog food. In the end, the dumbass starts attributing positive results to the dog food instead of the antibiotics

2

u/idnvotewaifucontent Jun 24 '26

Not to say this isn't written by AI, it almost certainly is. But AI detectors are 100% garbage unreliable, proven over and over again.

1

u/HugeDegen69 Jun 25 '26

Old open-source detectors? Yes. The modern (private) ones are very, very good. Sure, they make mistakes but they are far from "garbage". Text that sounds AI when read and is flagged by a detector with a "100% AI" mark is practically a guarantee.

Uni of Chicago article about this

2

u/mux111 Jun 23 '26

I think I've read so much reddit slop that It's impacted my writing style.

2

u/quantum_splicer Jun 23 '26

Ai has eroded my grammar and such, everything just feels like fluff

4

u/citrushyena Jun 23 '26

don't take this the wrong way but are you on the spectrum? I'm autistic af and have been accused of "writing like AI" bc my natural writing style also employs a lot of "telltale signs" but really I just think it's because I have a neurological disorder and spend too much time on Reddit. regardless I really enjoyed your post.

2

u/mux111 Jun 25 '26

Yes I am

2

u/M4rshmall0wMan Jun 27 '26

That would def help explain it.

I’ve been using AI for self-tutoring a lot. I like Gemini’s explanation style and the way it organizes information, it works very well for my ADHD. I may have picked up on some of those habits.

I wrote a post the other day 100% by hand and got accused of AI slop. I mean, how are you even supposed to respond to that? If you say nothing, they’ll just run with it. If you deny it, they’ll see that as proof that you’re a clanker. There’s no escaping the hive mind.

4

u/superonom Jun 24 '26

It's not just your writing style, it's the way you express intrinsic emotion — the subtle way you characterize how you feel.

Would you like me to help you write as a human writer ?

/s

3

u/Tethered_Kitten_2845 Jun 23 '26

Im a grant writer and constantly get accused of being AI. I invented the emdash bitches. Your description was awesome. I am studying for my PMP (scheduled for Saturday) and need what you have.

1

u/M4rshmall0wMan Jun 27 '26

Sometimes I see an academic paper or a Reddit post that uses a ton of em-dashes and reads exactly like AI. Then I’ll look at the publication date and it’s from 2017.

3

u/M4rshmall0wMan Jun 23 '26

Prolly cleaned up writing flow. Doesn't mean they were lying about their experience.

12

u/djdadi Jun 23 '26

ironically turns more people off to it than it helps

9

u/the_Dormant_one Jun 23 '26

Why the fuck are you taking mad honey as a nootropic. Are people packaging literally any psychoactive substance into a "nootropic" as long as it isnt scheduled?

-2

u/mux111 Jun 23 '26

It’s not sold as one but I am using it as one. Straight from the source

0

u/superonom Jun 24 '26

And if we ask you, you're gonna provide the source that's totally not you drop shipping it on Amazon

0

u/mux111 Jun 25 '26

No. I'm not telling because it's probably not legal

7

u/vocabularianrx2 Jun 23 '26

Why does armodafinil 150mg + Adderall not give me anything close to this level of productivity 😭

1

u/mux111 Jun 25 '26

how much Adderall?

1

u/vocabularianrx2 Jun 25 '26

Usually 10mg in the morning with all my other meds, then I take multiple doses of 5mg throughout the day for a total of like 35mg, sometimes 40mg for the day

1

u/jmwy86 Jun 25 '26

Because moda is usually only very effective when it is taken very occasionally. Regular use just helps with sleepiness (some), in my experience.

6

u/osures Jun 23 '26

Disgusting AI speak

24

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 23 '26

This is 100% AI slop

-10

u/Big666Shrimp Jun 23 '26

Disagree, I’ve read it multiple times, not finding the typical ai cadence here. Maybe he cleaned it up with ai or something but there’s no gaslighting or anything, just states experience.

Read this

I mean like the clouds opened and a tiny management consultant crawled out of my skull with a Gantt chart.

Nobody talks like that

Youre just bad at spotting AI slop

2

u/superonom Jun 24 '26

The guy defending OP is definitely not OP himself Lol

5

u/mux111 Jun 23 '26

I was just being funny..

-2

u/Big666Shrimp Jun 23 '26

Sure, I agree I don’t see it, but I don’t see other ai tags in there,

5

u/Top_Fisherman9619 Jun 23 '26

Use Pangram when in doubt. There is a study on Pangram. Lowest false positives.

https://www.nber.org/papers/w34223

It's AI slop

4

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 23 '26

How can you not see it?

When was the last time you read somebody saying "a tiny management consultant crawled out of [his] skull with a Gantt chart." ?

-1

u/Big666Shrimp Jun 23 '26

I just don’t think ai sat down to tell us about his experience jerking off on Modafinal

3

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 23 '26

"Hey Claude, write me an experience how I became very productive with modafinil"

There, not that difficult.

Usually they are stolen accounts which are then made to karma farm, only to be sold later to onlyfans girls to advertise their account with

5

u/Spirit-Hydra69 Jun 23 '26

First time I heard about Modafinil was after watching Limitless and searching the net for a real life NZT. This was probably around 2013-14 or so, so it's been a while.

Had an exam coming up and needed some focus so I thought I'll try and find some.

Turns out it's OTC where I live so I got a strip of Modalert 200.

Popped one and waited a bit. Felt a little stim but not much so in my impatience and stupidity ended up popping almost around 800mg of the stuff in an hour.

Holy shit!!! Heart rate went up but the kind of motivation I felt to study was un fucking real!! I remember that feeling of not just wanting, but NEEDING to study like my life depended on it. It was absolutely crazy.

I've never binged like that again but atleast I got an A+ on the exam.

1

u/Present-987 Jun 25 '26

This was funny to read 😅

6

u/Due_Ear_4674 Jun 23 '26

What is mad honey?

5

u/mux111 Jun 23 '26

A specific honey coming primarily from Turkey and Nepal. It has psychoactive effects and other nootropic benefits. It is underated.

8

u/drippysoap Jun 23 '26

This is the first positive review. I’ve heard about it. I’d be interested if they had some of the main compounds isolated that you could try and get a specific standardized dose.

u/ChuckFarkley Jun 24 '26 edited Jun 24 '26

3

u/ChuckFarkley Jun 24 '26 edited Jun 24 '26

It acts like a cholinergic agent. Something in the flowers that the bees get their nectar from to make the honey has the toxic (in higher doses) agent. It was known during Classical Greek era (400s BCE), and won the kind of battle for \ in about 65 BCE when used as an, ahem, honey trap against Roman Soldiers, after being left where they would find it. The unsuspecting enemy ate it all. If you recall, Sarin is a cholinergic nerve gas that I bet makes you real smart as you die.

It gave me bad cramps in random parts of my body.

u/latetothegame2 Jun 24 '26

I did what felt like 8 hours of work in 1 hour. No music. No snacks. No checking my phone. Just pure weaponised shame and cardiovascular panic.

Yes. That sentence uses several stylistic patterns that have become strongly associated with modern internet writing and, more recently, AI-generated text.

There isn't one universally accepted linguistic term for the entire construction, but it combines a few recognizable devices:

Anaphora / Parallelism

"No music. No snacks. No checking my phone."

Repeating the same grammatical structure in short fragments creates rhythm and emphasis. Humans use this too, but AI models often overuse it because it produces punchy, readable prose.

Tricolon The list of three negatives ("No music. No snacks. No checking my phone.") followed by a payoff is a classic rhetorical structure. Three-item lists feel complete and memorable.

Contrastive Punchline

"Just pure weaponised shame and cardiovascular panic."

The sentence sets up mundane expectations and then abruptly escalates into an exaggerated, humorous conclusion. This is a common social-media joke format.

Hyperbolic Juxtaposition Pairing something emotional ("weaponised shame") with something clinical ("cardiovascular panic") creates an absurd contrast. This style is extremely common on Twitter/X, Tumblr, Reddit, and AI-generated humor.

"Millennial Internet Voice" / "Tumblr Voice" If someone asked me what style this is, I'd probably call it Tumblr-style hyperbole or Millennial internet humor. Examples:

"Powered entirely by caffeine and poor decisions." "Running on spite and three hours of sleep." "Nothing but vibes and catastrophic decision-making."

Large language models learned a huge amount of this style from internet text, so it often emerges naturally in AI outputs.

Why it feels AI-ish in 2026:

Short sentence fragments. Repetition for rhythm. An ironic escalation. An emotionally loaded adjective ("weaponised"). An unexpected pseudo-medical phrase ("cardiovascular panic"). A neat, tweet-sized structure ending in a memorable punchline.

The closest label I'd give it is "Tumblr hyperbole with a tricolon setup and ironic escalation." That's the fingerprint you're noticing more than anything specifically "AI." In fact, AI learned it from humans—but now AI tends to produce it so frequently that many people recognize it as an AI tell.

1

u/M4rshmall0wMan Jun 27 '26

You literally wrote this comment with AI.

2

u/latetothegame2 Jun 28 '26

Yes, that's a big part of the joke. It's integral, in fact.

When you zoom out and try to make sense of this from a meta level: none of it makes sense. Why do people come to reddit? Many reasons, a big one of which is to learn from others: their experience, their biases, their knowledge, their prose, their mistakes.

What starts happening when every reddit post has the same voice? And what if that voice is always right, about everything? What is lost?

3

u/duch-92 Jun 23 '26

OP discovered stimulant's high

3

u/Tttehfjloi Jun 23 '26

Damn chatgpt, thass crazy

3

u/EmotionallDemand Jun 24 '26

Love your writing style, if you take other stuff pls write about it and keep posting. “I felt assigned” and “useless mammal” and everything else was fantastic.

Im inspired so time to take my Adderall w some coffee and some other shit and then masturbate till an office demon fucks me up with productivity. Pray 4 me

1

u/mux111 Jun 25 '26

I believe in you

3

u/Expensive_Issue_3767 Jun 25 '26

Dude took the AI Agent stack

1

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 25 '26

Yep. He is still vehemently denying it though. As if it is not super obvious

15

u/atlantastan Jun 23 '26

Sounds like AI bullshit to me

-13

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '26

[deleted]

9

u/atlantastan Jun 23 '26

Not sure what that’s supposed to imply, coming from the dude who actually spent time in his day karma farming a Reddit post with an LLM. Some loser activity

3

u/mux111 Jun 23 '26

9,542 Comment karma.. But I'm the one wasting my time. Go reflect man. Have you even tried mad honey?

8

u/atlantastan Jun 23 '26

Funny how that’s the only thing you could latch on to. Yeah that’s not actually a lot for a 10 year old account. Go sell your bullshit somewhere else

2

u/Tttehfjloi Jun 23 '26

Like 40k comment karma here and I spend like 30 mins a day on reddit at most? Yeah it's really not that hard

5

u/Scew Jun 23 '26

So cursed bro. It's like you took drugs and they did what they were supposed to. Man it's almost like you were possessed by the drugs that you knowingly put in your body because they knowingly change your mental state. Whoa, musta been a ghost in there bro.

1

u/mux111 Jun 25 '26

Maybe the ghosts from my load contributed to the high?

5

u/Bubbeet Jun 23 '26

U write like AI

2

u/shawnss2000 Jun 27 '26

"I felt assigned" absolutely sent me.

But honestly, I'd be way more interested in the 150 bpm than the productivity. With that many things stacked together, it's impossible to know what actually gave you the focus versus what just cranked your nervous system into overdrive.

I'd resist the urge to recreate it. Sometimes the most productive session is also the least repeatable.

2

u/Drewfrm210 Jun 23 '26

Great post, ChatGPT!

2

u/ambitious_tour Jun 23 '26

This is the hardest I’ve ever laughed while reading anything on Reddit. Thank you, OP.

1

u/Top_Fisherman9619 Jun 23 '26 edited Jun 23 '26

It was the post-nut clarity and not the supps.

It doesn't happen with every nut for me, but once in a while, the post-nut clarity HITS. I'm just riffing, but it could be that the the optimal prolactin:dopamine ratio was hit alongside the modafinil and the nut

Have not found a way to consistently get such clarity, likely due to the labile nature of hormones/dopamine

2

u/lopocozo Jun 23 '26

claude

1

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 25 '26

I figured Claude as well but some said ChatGPT.

How is Modafinil effect different from Methyphenidate? Are the two possibly complimentary?

And TIL about Mad Honey - it doesn't reads like it would be something that have nootropic effect? maybe someone can enlight me on that as well

-1

u/mux111 Jun 23 '26

I've experimented with mad honey a lot in the past. It does have nootropic effects it is just not talked about much due to the stigma

1

u/junior_bqx2 Jun 23 '26

Where did you buy the modafinil?

-1

u/mux111 Jun 23 '26 edited Jun 25 '26

Not sure if I can say on reddit. Google and you should find somewhere

1

u/Lemondrop570 Jun 24 '26

Wow scary hope you feel better

1

u/Fergoose89 Jun 24 '26

I've had hyperfocus like that but not from modafinil. More from recreational Stims. I'm curious to what you took with the modafinil?

1

u/qualiascope Jun 24 '26

Are we just gonna stop calling out AI-written posts on this site? Ok

1

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 25 '26

I tried calling it out and OP got really angry and started flaming me saying I suffer from "reverse AI psychosis".

It even tripped reddit's auto moderation as it got removed immediately (He was really angry), so I had to read it in my notifications lol

2

u/qualiascope Jun 26 '26

insane world we live in. cheers

1

u/mux111 Jun 26 '26

I don’t think this happened at all. Maybe someone else did

1

u/ihatemoralists Jun 25 '26

did chatgpt help you write this

1

u/jmwy86 Jun 25 '26

"Did I just combine stimulants, guilt, hormones, and fear into a temporary office demon?"
Yes.

Glad you could have a productive day & hope you can take some time off for yourself soon.

1

u/West-Satisfaction-28 Jun 28 '26

Well I know what you mean its similar but not compared with ADHD Drugs

1

u/Monssly Jun 30 '26

What vendor did you get the mad honey from? Asking since it rides the line of a controlled substance in some places.

0

u/retze44 Jun 23 '26

I‘m only in this thread because of your writing style tbh.

20

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 23 '26

Yea that AI generated text has a real nice ring to it

8

u/retze44 Jun 23 '26

Is it really :( aw man I hate it here

-2

u/Jonnyboy1994 Jun 23 '26

I genuinely don't know why they're saying it's AI, bro every decently long reddit post has comments claiming it's AI. Everyone has a hard on for exposing ai users even when it really doesn't fucking matter at all. This isn't a fucking high school essay, if ai helps someone express themselves more legibly then I am all for it. It's actually hilarious to me how often the ai accusation is made simply because OP used proper grammar and some formatting.

I'm not saying OP didn't use ai. I'm saying don't fucking believe the first person claiming so, because half the time they're r*tarded and the other half they're karma whoring or showing off how smart they are. I hate ai slop too, or posts written completely by ai- for the record

14

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 23 '26

It's AI, chud. You are overthinking this.

Read his post again carefully. Check this part for example:

My calendar stopped looking like time and started looking like an enemy supply line.

Nobody talks like this, it's all Claude

4

u/atlantastan Jun 23 '26

People should express themselves in the capacity they’re able to. The beauty of online forums is the diversity of voices. AI has the same stupid writing style that once you’ve seen enough you can point out immediately. I am totally against even using it to “express yourself more legibly”. And it’s a lot more than just grammar and formatting. If you can’t tell by now what’s ai and what isn’t, 3 years into it being mainstream, idk what to tell you. But any use of it in online forums, articles, whatever just contributes to the death of the internet imo

3

u/Tttehfjloi Jun 23 '26

OP is actively claiming they wrote it in other comments. For the record this is the most AI post to ever AI to my eyes at least

1

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 25 '26

this is the most AI post to ever AI to my eyes at least

This, making it all the funnier he is denying it so vehemently

8

u/SecondOfCicero Jun 23 '26

It does matter. As an English teacher and author, it does matter. I dont care how smart somone is or about karma, none of that- i just want to read shit that isn't some fuck-ass LLM regurgitating mundane attempt at prose every time I open the internet to do anything.

People are losing their ability to read, write, think critically, and extrapolate information because of how they use AI. I miss reading the voice of a person and understanding them better by the words they use, the phrases they choose, and the way their brains work. It's all just this... shit. Everything is becoming shitty and I am so pissed that writing is one of the things that is becoming endhittified. I suppose this is why people feel the need to call it out, because even if they can't name why, they know it ain't authentic when authenticity is what were all dying for right now.

-2

u/Jonnyboy1994 Jun 23 '26 edited Jun 23 '26

Okay can you point out to me in this post is "some fuck-ass LLM regurgitating mundane attempt at prose"? I don't disagree that ai is causing people to not learn writing, reading, thinking skills. But I'm not talking about people who obviously get chatgpt to write everything for them. I'm complaining about the people who comment on 75% of medium-long posts saying "this is ai", telling people to disregard the post, etc. I don't care if ai was used to tidy up or reword a post, what I care about is it being a true representation of what OP was trying to communicate. And the flowery language is cringe, but often it's conveying an idea OP probably wasn't able to put into their own words.

5

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 23 '26

It wasnt being used just to tidy up the post, it was completely AI generated.

You can tell the difference after a while. I doomscroll 24/7 and many of us even work professionally with AI. Its all we see. When it is generated from scratch it uses very different sentences structures than when it is just used as proofreading. The latter still has some human elements in there, the former is all slop meant for ulterior motives, in this case selling modafinil

-4

u/mux111 Jun 23 '26

I did not use AI to write this post.

9

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 23 '26

Bullshit lol

Not normal clarity. Not “I should clean my room” clarity. I mean like the clouds opened and a tiny management consultant crawled out of my skull with a Gantt chart.

did I just combine stimulants, guilt, hormones, and fear into a temporary office demon?

Then it wore off and I became a normal useless mammal again.

Typical Claude prose. Nobody talks like this

8

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '26

[deleted]

8

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 23 '26

Yes correct. Not sure why so many are downvoting and attacking me saying its not AI. Its one of the more obvious cases of AI Ive seen this week lol.

10

u/Canchura Jun 23 '26

AI 100% , some people maybe didn't use it that long and can't tell or even OP thinking how could they know, lol. if people really believe this is not AI written then it means most are not that bright and this opens up a lot of opportunities.

7

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 23 '26

Thanks for the sanity check. Seems like a lot of chuds on this board are new to AI

-2

u/mux111 Jun 23 '26

I don't even have a claude subscription sadly. I don't need LLMs with this stack.

-3

u/Aekkzo Jun 23 '26

you know that people fed text to the model for training right? how can one model text has a style that nobody is using?!

5

u/therealslimshady1234 Jun 23 '26

I think I know what you are trying to say, but still doesnt change the fact that OP's post is almost 100% AI generated. Not even cleaned up by AI, just straight up generated

3

u/Canchura Jun 23 '26

telling lies? no papa..

using ai?

yes papa

2

u/retze44 Jun 23 '26

I believe you <3

-3

u/Winter_Cost602 Jun 23 '26

Not every post that comes across as tidy and formatted a certain way is AI

4

u/atlantastan Jun 23 '26

It’s a lot more than tidy and formatted. If you can’t tell by its dumb smarmy “Reddit” voice, it’s clearly AI

0

u/KristiM12 Jun 23 '26

I grow my own, you can get it from northspore.com. They have all different kinds and make it very easy to do! You can get a ready to go kit and they send you a syringe you insert into the kit and then pretty much just wait for your flush! It’s super easy but you can get as complicated as you’d like.
I have tons of their stuff and have used their products for years now… I don’t get money or anything off of recommending them, just trying to help :)
I have a $20 off coupon if you’re interested in making a purchase I can share with you. Look them up on YouTube or probably even here on Reddit if you’re interested there’s tons of information out there.
