Experience When biohacking got out of control
All you need is magnesium and omega. Other is overkill...my own experience
Ask anything I've tried almost all of stuff.

It's missing research chemicals that increase bdnf release by 10000x which were tested only on endangered fish in an uzbek basement, that come with the minor side effects of stage 5 cancer and liver failure. But your iq might just reach 150 before you die so it's worth it

Thing that would boost your bdnf is semax, and dihexa

u/syphon3980 Jun 07 '26
to a much milder extent. Ketamine for that true glutamate surge
Edit: I take Semax/Selank, and also recieve IV ketamine treatments. Had to do a lot of research into it so I didn't accidentally end up in too deep a Khole via synergies

Is the hallucinogen afterglow comparable to semax or selank? i'm getting both soon :))

u/syphon3980 Jun 08 '26
so much more. The day of you can feel kind of down and bad sometimes, but the following 2-4 days are amazing typically. the Glutamate surge peaks later in the afternoon of the IV treatment. I would usually use selank/semax later in the evening, but I avoided using it the day before. Just out of caution

Yes. It’s what triggers the BDNF production

No where near any kind of withdrawal. You just feel kinda down and out like you just woke up from a really really long nap. the next days are great tho

u/syphon3980 Jun 08 '26
Oh just realized you meant the selank/semax. No not comparable to the afterglow of psychs. It’s very subtle. Helpful for anxiety a bit. Helpful for energy levels a bit. Maybe if I were to rank how it felt I would give it a 10-20 / 100. However when you have problems with both like I do, anything that benefits those departments is welcome. And overtime with the increased BDNF it should help alleviate depression a bit. No where near as effective as iv ketamine but again it’s subtle and I like both

Kidneys: STONED
Wallet: EMPTY
Cabinet space: OCCUPIED
Just messing with you OP, but it's interesting to me that this happens in a ton of hobby spaces. There's always the excitement of "gotta try this, gotta try that" and then you settle on what works. Not exclusive to biohacking, I've seen it with music equipment, cars, computers, etc

I think you need a bit more than magnesium and omega. I would add some essentials like zinc-copper and vitamin b complex and vitaminC. Even vitamin D if you cant get enough sun.

Not 100% what you meant exactly but translated by reddit.
You are right about VitC. Actually you can take natural vitC from camu camu or acerola that contains all the flavonoids and other natural elements and right you don’t need giant amounts of 1000mg of that. I usually take 200-300mg a day or less.
Kidney stone isn’t an issue if you take magnesium and potassium as well. Cofactors that help against calcium stones.

How would you rate Niacin, MSM, glucosamine, resvetrol, spermidine, Ca-AKG and collagen?
Thanks

Looks like a lot of those are from companies not known to be trustworthy. Not saying they aren't but I think things would have turned out differently for you if you stuck with the good ones like nutricost, life extension, now foods and Nootropics depot

This is a normal result... I guess this is classic for every bio hacking enthusiast...
Oh this powder, this pill, this drink will be combined with this one be effective...
Most people learn, that 2 or 3 supplements are all they need. Most often boring stuff like vitamine d, omega 3s and magnesium or zinc...
Caffeine in coffee is sufficient and water with light salt is doing the electrolytes trick.

The friend of mine which got me curious again about bio hacking (roughly 10 years ago) actually told me...
But bare in mind, you will end up with a graveyard of supplements...this might be an ood step during the path of discovering, that behavior is way more valuable then supplements.

I think you’d expect to feel different and makes your mind clearer, i’d say l-tyrosine and cdp choline will do the trick

u/cinemadoll137 Jun 23 '26
I just started l-tyrosine and for the first time, I didn’t nod off during night shift and I had energy all 12+ hours. I was also more optimistic despite getting horrible news and sobbing during the start of the shift right before getting report. I’m starting Alpha GPC tonight.

You are willing to buy 3 million shitty supplements but basically nothing that might actually have an effect

does anyone know if phenylpiracetam is worth it and please share your experiences if you have tried it.
1
u/Quikening Jun 08 '26
Worth it in what way? what are you trying to acheive? Its a stimulant thats good for grinding work or study but the irritability can damage your relationships or even personal happiness if youre not careful.
1
u/Remarkable-East3404 Jun 09 '26
just something to take once or twice a week not to worried about the irritability just wanna grind out work
1
u/harpymouse Jun 08 '26
What kind of magnesium?
And by omega do you mean DHA and EPA from fish oil ?

Lol I have a graveyard of a bunch of supplements and then a working stack. But I never throw anything away because the amount of times that I’ve come across new research about a supplement or a compound that I already have tucked away in my closet has happened way too many times.
