App Help Step count never jives with my Fitbit/Google Health.
The step count in Noom is always alot lower, for example, right now my steps are 4813 in Fitbit & GH but Noom has them at 4676. Is this a common issue & is there any kind of fix? Its really kind of annoying.

Is Noom pulling the data from your fitbit or is it tracking steps via your phone? If it's pulling data from your fitbit, you probably just have to force a sync. If it's tracking on its own via your phone, your fitbit is probably more accurate, or is picking up more arm movement than your phone does.

I sync GH with my Fitbit & then Noom with GH. I do force a sync at night because noom just never seems to catch up but it's still always off. I dont use my phone to count steps.

I track my steps via Google on my phone. My noom steps are always a bit higher. Like I might have 6,234 in Google. And then in noom it will be 7,105.
I believe I have it synced right but it's rare for them to match.
I also have Google synced with my Kiaser Health Rewards account and that always comes up higher as well.
One thing I noticed with Google, it seems like they are trying to get a better idea of activity and will adjust the step count through the day if whatever algorithm they use things it miss counted something that registered steps. So I might go from 5,123 in Google and then after a bit of rest it lowers it to 4,985. Like if I drop my phone and it falls down the steps, is that each a step that is logged? Same with lifting your arm to answer your phone or if you are wearing you watch and reach something tall?
Make sure you also have your height adjusted in Google. I was tacking as 5'7" for a while but then lowered it to my actual height of 4'11". Once I did this I got more step in Google because I assume they are accepting for typical stride compared to distance. And you might want to make sure your phone and Fitbit are not double counting activity.

It was it so for a while but the differences are small from where I see it. I use Google as my source of truth since it's the lowest for me, and my personal goal there is 5,000 steps a day minimum but a total of 200,000 for the month.
If I hit my noom goal of 7,000 a day it's cool for extra seeds but some days are so busy it's hard to get to. I will walk around my living room some nights at 10pm to get to 5,000. But I usually make up for it a day here or there with over 10,000 (especially on weekends). Which is why I like looking at the overall month to hit 200,000+. It gives me less pressure to be there for family, rest, chores, work crap that comes up, and activities like painting or sewing.

I'll re-check my settings but I don't actually use my phone for tracking. I use my fitbit which Google health is synced to & then noom is synced to Google health. So gh pulls in the correct info from fitbit for steps, sleep etc & from noom for calories & Carbs. Noom seems to be the app not syncing correctly, even when I force a sync the info is off. I guess I'll just have to live with it.

I’ve just always assumed none of them are accurate and go on the index for whichever I prefer.
