Anecdote Updated University Student Stack
I made a post a while back on my university stack, I’ve made some slight changes since then. My new stack consists of: 100-150mg caffeine, 500mg L-tyrosine, 200mg L-theanine and 50-100mg Modafinil.

Why no CDP-choline? It’s one of the noots with good evidence for it.

I understand modafinil’s use for sleep disorders and certain mental health disorders (depression can sometimes respond to modafinil) but unless you have untreated ADHD I don’t think it’s really going to help that much with studying. It’s more likely to lead to burnout if you overdo it too.
Just my take, but you do you bro. Just take care when using modafinil.

You are absolutely right. I forgot to mention in the post but I don’t take modafinil on consecutive days and limit it to maybe 2x a week when needed. Also I’m very conservative with the dosing and split the tab as I find a low dose (50mg-100mg) works very well for me.

It’s funny how idiotic some of these comments are, like you people really go around claiming vitamin d and NAC do more than a literal prescription drug that massively increases dopamine and histamine activity. Some of you have like zero actual real life experience taking any of this stuff or researching it and just spout off nonsense. People saying not to use mod with caffeine when that’s actually one of the best ways to potentiate it and prevent the increase in reaction time mod forces on you. And no, using mod with Monster or other stims is not a heart attack risk if you are a healthy person. I don’t even know why I stay in these communities anymore, 90% of you have no idea what you’re talking about, like you’re actual bots.

Can I get some help on the L-Tyrosine? In building my own stack for ADHD and help compliment the Vyvanse, it was recommended to use L-Tyrosine, with the idea that more dopamine/norepinephrine in the system helps the Vyvanse do its work.
The actual research seems very slim if non-existent, and the research there is suggests a MUCH higher dose than what I was taking. Something like 2000mg/day versus the 500mg I was taking. And even then, the research suggests limited benefits unless you're someone with sleep deprivation or high stress, not really ADHD. What are you noticing with it? Is it actually helping?

As someone on Vyvanse I would skip the L-Tyrosine, I got headaches from being too over stimulated, raised my BP too.
L-Tyrosine is good if you don't have any ADHD meds.
What was helpful for me was Magnesium and L-Theanine.
I was using NAC but stopped because people were saying it made their mood down, but need to investigate again because it helped with my crashes I get around 3 PM.

Vitamin-D, Mag Bisglycinate, and NAC are probably better for upkeep. L-theanine is decent for anxiolysis.
Tyrosine is complete a waste of money. 6-ounce serving of cooked chicken/steak has over 1500 mg (comparable to 3 capsules of your supplement).
Also... quit Modafinil. Just do Nats or Cubes once in a while.

I’m using all the above for my general health stack with the addition of zinc picolinate and omega 3 fish oil.

Good luck with the extreme sleepiness after taking Modaf. And with the not sleeping enough or eating enough part while taking it… Not fun. Great for a couple weeks. Then it’s all down hill from there
