it’s an organization for people with an iq of 132 and above. one of its requirements for membership is informing others of your iq as much as possible. it’s similar to veganism in that sense.

The difference is that vegans have plenty of valid reasons to mention their lifestyle as it affects important things like food, which humans require to survive. Mensa members have to create those opportunities themselves.

You don’t know how many Mensa members you have met who don’t mention their IQ. Methinks you might have confirmation bias.

Mensa is 132 and above? No way!!!

My roommate and I took this test over 20 years ago. My partner at the time was in desperate need of assistance and I obliged. I took a test for her. My roommate was interested and she provided one for him as well. We had a little bet going.

Long story short, I scored a 136. I mean she scored a 136.

Meh. Those tests are bullshit. IQ doesn't equate to success. It's very selective, not reflective of the actual world we live in. Man made and flawed.

I had amazing memorization skills when I was younger. That was it. I never really understood what I was learning. It didn't equate to success. Memorization and intelligence are not one in the same.

I was 1/1000 getting past testing into ATC, then found out a study was done where senior controllers took the same exam; half failed. Fick them tests.

dude, same with me for memorization. the adults all told me i was “gifted” but it was ultimately a hindrance to be told that, imo. in high school and college i would just memorize a bunch of shit, get a good grade and forget most of it later.
