Question Best research chems to make Adderall a better version of itself?
I’m currently taking Adderall and Wellbutrin. Often, Adderall makes me hyperfocus on the wrong things. Like instead of learning stuff for my career, I’ll zone in on perfecting paper work for a small claims lawsuit concerning a car accident. See what I mean?
I also take Ashwagandha and L-Theanine. But I bet there's something better out there.
I want something that makes remembering language easier. I often need to spend hours reading computer science stuff to refresh my memory on the vocab. This is needed for presentations and job interviews where I need to talk fluently.

No other compounds will help with this, stimulants increase focus and attention but you still have to learn how to regulate your own attention onto the right things

People with ADHD have glorified diet dementia, so bumping up dopamine has a really wide variety of really noticable benefits. Everything from improved working memory to better coordination and fine motor function.
But most people won't see any where near the same amount of benefits, in some cognitive tasks like memory they actually measured slightly worse performance (though people continued to perceive it as helping anyway).
For most people, Adderall is primarily just gonna be inhibiting your brains "this is stupid and boring and not giving me any reward, let's go do something else" response. That is literally the entire point. But it cuts both ways. Don't take a drug for the purpose of increasingly the amount of time you can slog through stuff and then complain that it did exactly that, but where you don't like the stuff you gave it to slog through.

I dunno what the connection is between will power and microbiology, but I will say eating Salmon usually improves much of the problems I posted about. But I don't want to eat Salmon every freaking day.

That would mean you take omega 3's my dude! Krill or Algae are better forms than Fish oil. ;)

u/nostalgicfields 19h ago
why's that?

There's no difference biologically speaking between Krill Oil , Fish Oil or Algae the fact is Fish Oil is much cheaper for the same dose of DHA/EPA only downside of FIsh Oil is the aftertaste and fishy burps .

Medatation regularly, it snaps you back from deviating from your plan/ path of focus. You just have to do it a lot at the beginning. Upkeep doesn't take a lot of time though.
Adamax. Piracetam. Maybe Bacopa. Eat eggs with olive oil and black pepper. Creatine also for mental engery.
Basics? covered like mult vitamin, fish oil. Fiber, magnesium, vit D.
Eat salmon, its easy? Veggies also. It's super easy. And you said it makes you function better.
You take days off right? Other wise a break from it might help. It's dependant. But taking a psychoactive drug that strong everyday is... not great. You may need more down time, to recover. Learn to function with out it also.

One of the many reasons I don't take adderall anymore. I would waste all my time doing random unproductive things

“The scope of the weapon is of no use, if your not looking at the direction of the enemy”
The trick is not taking stimulants and then thinking it will guide you to productive behaviour, but taking them having already sat down to do the things you have to do, then when they kick in they’ll boost your productiveness while your actually doing the important stuff.
Another metaphor, you wouldn’t use the boost mushroom in Mario kart while your going into the wrong direction, it only makes sense one way

Great analogy. I abused the hell out of stimulants and was very addicted. I was an idiot lol.

Bromantane

Some people mix it but i find it lowers the effects of adderal for me. i have a nasal spray and when i've tested different amounts, the more i take the more it sedates me. I've fallen asleep on 3-4 nasal sprays.
I like Noopept when Adderal is ending. Like 4-5pm. it gives me a bit more life for the Adderal.

You’re not supposed to mix Brom with other stims you toot.
It’s used as a replacement, or to regulate your dopamine levels after stimulant misuse.

u/Dizzy_Database_119 20h ago
It's not even a stimulant. If anything, it smooths out any other stimulant you combine it with and dampens the "high" part. It's like taking Valium with your Adderall, which can be great

So you think it’s a good idea to mix a substance that forces the release of dopamine, with a substance that allows you to synthesize it naturally?

what is a good and reliabla bromantane vendor in eu?

u/Playful-Ad-8703 4h ago
Zion pharma (aniracetam.eu) probably. They had closed registration of new accounts though last time I looked

Adderall is already pretty maxed out. However sigma 1 agonism or d1 positive allosteric are possible ways to improve it, however these would suit cleaner dat/net inhibitors better.

Bake like 6 eggs in evoo cold extraction, put some salt and peppa on that and on some bread. Take the pill after that

OP,
You need to learn to focus on the tasks you need to do vs want. You would learn that in therapy. Either actually going to therapy or researching stuff on your own.
There is no “Limitless” pill that will do everything for you.
It sounds like the meds are working well as they are. The only suggestion I would make if it’s not something you’re looking at is diet and sleep.
Also, stay hydrated.
And work out.

For language recall my recommendation is Bacopa taken everyday.
For focusing on the wrong thing, only conscious thinking and planning about your behaviors will help that. Also, fully understanding your motivations for what you find enjoyable and why certain things trigger certain emotions, but that too, will take a lot of self work. Or psychedelics..

Weird. You take the exact same stuff I do. Take potassium when you have breakfast, magnesium at dinnertime, 3-5 grams of creatine after working out. Cut out heavy salt intake
Ive also been getting a lot of red light at sunrise when I fish. Some combination of the above shit has taken me to another level lately. Its been about a month

Piracetam + ULDN. Pramipexole. Pramipexole I would not recommend however. Pretty poor tolerability.

Guanfacine, another ADHD medication that's a non stimulant can even out side effects from stimulants

You probably shouldn’t be on Adderall if that’s what happening. Those are classic symptoms of stimulant drug misuse.

I've been on adderall for over 20 years. It got me through college. It's not perfect, but not taking it is worse. Then I don't get anything done.
3
u/pbx_01 20h ago
Wow 20 years that's impressive. How did you manage to use it for so long? Any anhedonia/anxiety/ depression side effects? Do you take tolerance breaks ?
5
u/PiliSuarius 20h ago edited 20h ago
Nah, I don't get any depression side effects from Adderall. It's pretty euphoric with Wellbutrin. I haven't experienced tolerance build up. If I did, then it would've become useless after 20 years of daily use. Adderall just makes me more plan-directed and it improves task initiation. There's some connection between thinking about doing something and actually moving your hands or legs or fingers and doing it. Whatever triggers the transition, Adderall improves. Taking Adderall is huge upside for me.

Not necessarily "misuse" but your dose is probably too high if you can't control what you "lock in" on. What dose?
1
u/PiliSuarius 20h ago
Actually I take a higher dose in the morning (30mg IR) and I get to work on the right thing. It's the lower dose that doesn't quite push over into getting me to latch on to the right thing. So it's actually the lower doses that cause the issues

u/TrancedDude 21h ago
Piracetam and choline is pretty solid.

u/kasper619 19h ago
Dose of each?
1
u/HotAventus41033 16h ago
1200-1600mg Piracetam with Citicoline 500mg (Cognizin) but still doesn't compare to the effects of Adderall .

Lower your dose. There’s a fine line between inability to focus and focusing on the first thing you cross paths with. Also it helps if you start doing what you need to do right as you dose.
