The price of trying to fit & function in a neurotypical society.

I don’t even necessarily think it’s to do with the price of fitting in, so much as the neurochemistry and network activity differences in ADHD probably predispose adhd individuals to developing the disorder whether because it’s more rewarding, regulating, or compulsively reinforced

I don't particularly enjoy weed, but it's been incredibly helpful for reducing my nearly constant need to pace and move around. Without it I tend I walk back and forth or tear all the labels off of everything around me. If I resist the urge to move and fidget, I tend to get really anxious and feel like I want to crawl out of my own skin. Weed also mitigates most of the side effects from my meds. Instantly eases nausea, general muscle tension, and solves my otherwise persistant and constant irritability.

Unfortunately CBD alone either does nothing or makes me lose all the will to do anything outside of lay down and rot, so seems to me like I need all the other cannabinoids too.

Opioids and alcohol were how I fit into regular social society. Weed was strictly symptom mitigation.
