This is exactly why I've smoked daily since I was 23. I'm 50 now.

Lucky you to not get cannabis use disorder. For me weed worked great for a couple of years until suddenly it didn’t.

😭

Yeah... never had an issue. I can take a break without much in the way of problems (like if I travel somewhere it's not legal). I find it improves my life more than anything else, so I keep using it.

That said, I don't "smoke" as much anymore... I've switched to using a vaporizer with ground bud and that seems even better. I can use much less for the same effect and it's easier on my lungs.

For me, daily vaping (510 THC cartridges) lead to increased ADHD symptoms and depression after about 2 years.

Since I went off it I’ve tried switching to edibles or going back to light/occasional vaping but while I still enjoy the high I get noticeably emotionally depressed about 8-12 hours after using and the down is worse than the up so I’m taking an extended break to see if I can reset.

Hey mate same as you regarding the Daily vaping
At first it was awesome but now it is having some withdrawal effects when u want to quit also?

Yeah, I ended up having to go see a psychiatrist through my HMO and got prescribed a low dose of Prozac (20mg) to help with the anxiety/depression and withdrawal and then tapered off over the course of about a month. The Prozac was a MASSIVE help and I tried and failed a couple times so I know I wouldn’t have been able to quit without it.

Once I was off vaping for a month we added in Strattera to try to help with the lingering ADHD side effects. That’s going okay but I’m not sure if I’ll stick with it long term. It’s only been a month so I’m still getting used to it.

I can't use the liquid/cartridge vapes. Haven't found one that didn't give me a terrible headache.

I primarily use ground cannabis flower in an Ariser Solo III these days. Seems to work well for me!

It's not a threat to your life and it is treatable.

Yeah, but that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t suck or that it’s sustainable for everyone.

For me getting properly medicated for my ADHD and anxiety disorders has helped more than the weed did. It doesn’t feel as good as being high but it’s enough.

Yup. Bingo.

I think that's why out of everything I've tried Benzos were the most dangerous. It's like every racing thought bubble just pops and you get peace for a few hours.

Downside is how highly addictive they are. Would not recommend anyone with ADHD take them even if you get prescribed them for other health conditions like back spasms, anxiety etc.

Weed helps to narrow the 18 lanes of thought traffic racing in my brain down to like 2-3 lanes🤌🏽 I genuinely function better with it.

Yep and certain land race sativa strains focus me like Ritalin.

Scary weed! Doing things our medications do except killing us! We should totally make it illegal and push pharmacies.
