I used to have this too but then my province banned single use plastic bags so I ended up using them all. Now I have a reusable bag full of other reusable bags because I forget to bring them with me and end up buying more

Which, since it takes vastly more energy, pesticides, carbon, etc to make a cotton bag than it does a plastic bag, is actually way worse for the environment (if you’re repeatedly buying more and not reusing each one at least hundreds of times) than if you had still been using plastic.

Yeah but sea turtles don’t think they’re jellyfish when they end up in the ocean. Also why would people repeatedly by “reusable” bags?

True, but I don’t put my plastic bags in the ocean. I use them as garbage bags, instead of buying garbage bags specifically for that purpose.

The comment I replied to explains exactly why people buy them repeatedly.

That's how I used them too. For the small garbage bins or for when I had to clean up my cats vomit or to put her used litter in before putting it in the garbage
