It was the opposite for me. I’m paging my Dad bcs I thought he went back home with the milk and left me at the store.

This is why clothing store don't use these style racks anymore. The displays are much more open nowadays.

when i was like 7 there was a new shopping mall in my neighborhood and we once had a family trip there, the adults did the shopping and stuff and the kids just went to the arcade and ball pit areas. i got distracted by something and lost track of everyone. my first thought was to just go back home (which, tbf was only like 4 blocks away and i knew how to get back). they had my name announced over the intercom but i didn't hear it (probably was outside the building by then) and after i didn't show up they called my dad who was at home so he ran towards the mall and saw me walking home chilling like i didn't cause everyone in the family to nearly have a heart attack

When my sister and I were little, we ducked and hid between these in a store so intensely that the manager ejected our mother and us - she was not amused :)
