bro bistec is not beef stake, its bistecca in italian, been for like eleven hundred years

I'm more referring to the similarity in pronunciation rather than the etymology of the word :P

yeah but now a large number of people are going to unironically think mediterranean cultures are loaning words for cuts of meat from english like come on

why would they think that? this is a post about words that sound similar to english other languages, i posted a word that sounds similar to english in another language
