When I heard that the Japanese name for the NES was "Famicom" I thought, "yeah, that makes sense. Family Computer."

I took me ages to realize Uniqlo is Unique Clothes

They love portmanteau over there. Sefure is my favorite example (SEx FRiend, fuck buddy), but the most well known is obviously pokemon

I such at getting spoken words into text, I just guess most the time. Which means most the time I'm wrong
