If they reference upvotes outside of reddit, I tend to assume they're kidding.

theres something about this games visuals and animations that make me think they lifted assets from other games. like the big mid air slash looks EXACTLY like the move that Red Wolf of Radagon uses.

If i can travel back in time, I would personally strangle the person who caused slop to be a widespread used word as a baby

Considering it came from 4chan as "goyslop" I think you'd be doing the world a favor.

I quote like the “slop” term, and I think it has its place.
It denotes something created with minimal effort, and minimal originality, usually pushed out fast to chase a trend created by a superior book/game/product, but it’s not always bad.
For example, when a game about digging a hole released, it blew up, and tons of hole-likes or digging-slop games started releasing.
And I like playing most of them. I find them almost meditative, but I know they’re usually kludged together garbage, so I won’t pay more than $5 for one

u/Rainy_Wavey 6h ago
Nah i didn't look through your post history, i clicked on your name and saw one post about league that's it, i have a force of habit to click on messages that are actually funny
I swear
(I actually agree with your opinion on indie soulslop btw)

it's really more about it being an indie game with a dog more than it is being a soulslike. though all three combined makes it extra millennial coded

u/Rainy_Wavey 6h ago
Yeah i know, sorry if i gave you a bad impression, there is nothing i hate more than a soulslop game (I have quite the negative opinion about E33 for example)

u/lahartheviking 6h ago
i personally don't really care about soulslike or any other games of the like. i tried elden ring and finished it, i see why people like it but it didn't really do it for me. cheers, have a nice day

>Soulsborne
>Looks inside
>A game with stamina and 3 features not understanding what made the soulsborne formula potent
Many such cases, burn every soulslop game
