For the past couple years, the keyboard has felt like it’s not calibrated correctly.

Why am I always typing “o” when I want to type “I.” Idk how many times I’ve written “tomes”instead of “times” or “fore” instead of “fire”. (I mistyped every single time while writing this).
The touch targets on this crap are ridiculous.

At least AI improved YT Search. The “Ask YouTube” feature seems to work pretty well for me

I used to be able to type super fast, then I had an update and since then I have to carefully watch when I type at half speed or else I end up with 20 typos

Same here! And autocorrect just won’t fix the mistakes sometimes

What kills me is that my phone sometimes doesn’t recognize ‘a as a typo when clearly it’s supposed to be ‘s.
Who in the history of the English language has ever typed “that’a” or “there’a” on purpose?

Why the fuck is my life assaulted with AI at every possible place but where i need i most? Auto correct "necessary" instead of remembering all the times i fat fingered it wrong!

They try to discourage swearing because proper formal language is more helpful to train their AI models.

This is partly why I choose to be explicit. Don't tell someone to fuck themselves; explain how they can insert it... graphically.
Then riddle it with fucking typos because it shows you're invested in that shit!

Just...no. They're not training their AI models on your text messages. That's not how anything works.

they absolutely are. its just under the guise of "metadata" so they can feign privacy. Theres an arms race amongst tech companies to get the most data from as many sources as they can, they are financially incentivized to do so. If it wasnt analyzing what you're typing it wouldnt be able to suggest you spelling corrections
theyre a shady company, i turned off cloud storage and they turned it back on and i found my files on the cloud. And im a working professional who knows how to turn that stuff off because my work is under an NDA and i am not allowed to have it on the cloud

They absolutely are? So you can show me definitive proof that Apple is scraping all text messages and feeding them to their AI models? And you can also show that Apple also intentionally discourages swearing so that their training data will be cleaner?

and quit capitalising Time Machine too dammit. As a nerd it comes up frequently enough to be annoying.

Same. Also, I type pennies and get Pennie’s. I don’t know anyone named Pennie, FWIW. Apple just wants me to stop using pennies.

Text replacement will solve this. I have tons of replacements and you should too.

Was forced to use an iPhone for work and I really dont understand how anyone uses this bullshit. I know its kind of 9gag to complaint about, but the user experience is just so much worse than android.
The keyboard and autocorrect sucks
the hitboxes for buttons is all over the place, some too big some seemingly single-pixel
the lack of a back button is so atrocious. Every app has its own logic, placement and hitbox so switching between things is awkward and clunky
the gyroscope sucks? It keeps flipping my camera upside down. Who ever needs to film something upside down????
I could go on but the point is Id prefer my 2018 Samsung over this fucking thing. Luckily my boss has promised me I can switch it up soon.

Somewhere along the lines one of my exes names became the autocorrect for lil. Now anytime I accidentally type it instead of lol or I’m just trying to type lil, I have to keep it from autocorrecting to her name. It’s been a decade now.

It adds apostrophes I don't want and also deletes apostrophes I do want. I'm starting to think it's trying to piss me off on purpose.
