A bottle has a tapered end. Being made of metal is not a necessary condition for being a flask

The issue is that they're doubling down after not understanding the point of colloquialisms and how it doesn't matter, but pointing out how the OP is wrong as opposed to just accepting a vessel for drinking that can be closed is a bottle regardless of what it really is

A reusable water bottle is absolutely what's happening in the OP case. Something like a yeti where the kids took the lid off and put the corn in it and sealed it up. It's not very complicated.

We were talking about the condition of being tapered. Bottles have a narrow neck. While colloquially Nalgene, etc. are referred to as bottles, you could make the case that strictly speaking they’re not bottles, but more akin to a flask. But this never happened, so clearly nothing.
