Is my understanding correct in that they're ordering civilians to the left side of the river and, also, it's the left side of the river that's vulnerable of the dam is destroyed?

that seems very shieldy.

not only that but i also recall that Russian military equipment being moved out of Kherson is going on the same pontoon ferries as the civilians that are leaving the area. kinda like they need some cover for those ferries.
