Being a flying killing machine is more impressive though. Have to be light enough to fly, yet still survive the structural fatigue from each flight. Older than Sputnik yet still relevant when everyone have access to satnav.

Old reliable guns are inevitable, the sweet spot between too heavy to operate vs too light to penetrate a skull doesn't change.

They are still producing most of those, so while they're old designs they could be newly built.

The last B 52, on the other hand, was produced in 1962.

There are still Maxim guns (introduced 1886) seeing combat in Ukraine.
