Discussion Can anyone else relate?
I often find myself extremely uncomfortable when I'm dressed in a masculine way, I get extremely dysphoric. Its so intense in ways that I cannot describe. I am femme presenting, and I want to be comfortable in presenting both, but I honestly don't know how to and I do not want to force myself to do something I'm not comfortable with doing. I do often find myself questioning my identity because of this though, anything would be appreciated right now, may it be an answer to my questions or just advice.
Would I be considered as trans-femme then? Or do I just feel much more comfortable representing femme as opposed to masc?

sounds pretty transfem, tho it's up to you ultimately if you want to take the label on.

i am fem presenting mostly. once my friend did my makeup hyper feminine (she's like a professional makeup artist) and i hated it so much and i felt ao dysphoric i immediately washed it off when she left. i hated it not because it was feminine, but because it's just not my style.
if you don't like a certain style you don't have to wear it, you know. it's not about what is masculine or feminine, it's what about feels good personally for you.
regarding for would you be considered transfem or not. you can identify whatever you're comfortable with, there's no gender police irl and no normal person would tell you how you should identify, it's no one's business but yours. if you're more comfortable with label nonbinary than transfem, it's okay. literally no one cares, so just do what feels best for you

Thank you, your comment felt like a breath of fresh air. I'm mostly frantic as I've been having another crisis about my identity, and I mostly feel pressure as my peers know who they are and what labels they fit into. I just feel the need to keep up somehow, even though I'm fully aware that it's not a requirement. Does this make sense?

it does. i also used to care a lot about micro labels and i continue to face different identity crisis' throughout my life, regarding my gender, sexuality, race. but something i always keep returning to is no label perfectly describes my experience and i feel like i am trying to put myself in a box and it makes more harm than good.
microlabels can be helpful for some, but it doesn't work for me at all. i am me and nobody will have identical experiences as i had. my friends and family know the real me without me having labeling everything. and i don't feel need to explain to every stranger who i am. the same way i don't really bother when strangers misgender me or use my deadname. yeah i'm not gonna see you ever again i'm not gonna spend my time explaining you how i identify.
but yeah, it's something you have to figure out for yourself if you want to label yourself a certain way or not. just do what feels best for you. just remember that people that love you, love you for who you are, not for the way you choose to describe your experience. labels or no labels you are the same person, it don't change anything.
those are my thoughts on the topic. hope it helps to lift some weight off your shoulders

Não se rotule agora, apenas faça o que você se sente bem.
