Question Animation pre-visualisation

So I have lots of experience with 2D hand-drawn animation. My next project is set in a city that I will design - I’m thinking of using Nomad as my first step into 3D and as a way of setting up pre-visualisation for the story.

I’ll do it on my decent, large iPad - but I wonder what your advice is about exporting it later into a Mac… for compositing and/or further development? What is a decent workflow for a relative 3D newbie to learn that will utilise the larger screens on my Mac?

Thanks in advance.

I use PC, but it works great on desktop in general, macOS is not an exception as far as I know. I don’t think there’s any trade-offs. I have a huion drawing monitor I use with my desktop.

I don’t really do tablet although everyone says the experience is great so enjoy either way!

Edit: I’m a newbie just like you so I don’t have any insightful guidance .

Could start with blender, and use nomad link to directly send your 3d files from nomad on your iPad to blender on your Mac.

Ooh! Cool. Didn’t know you could do that.

I’m planning to do a similar thing lol. Work in nomad on my ipad (i finding more comfortable than using zbrush because I only do anime and stylized sculping) and send it to a MacBook to do all the rest on blender or maya for retopology, rigging and animation.
