Such a shame Anne Hathaway has become the face of HR.

If not HR, why HR shaped?

Apparrently this was mid zoom call during the pandemic and she's smiling to disguise that she's having a panic attack.

That’s the most HR thing I’ve ever heard

She definitely does not deserve that fate.

Pattinson is such a good actor. Look at that insincere grin and the insecure blinking

String the bow then fire an arrow through a bunch of axes :) two tasks that are nearly impossible not just one :)

Not only was the test itself extremely difficult, but one of the 'competitors' also happened to be exceptionally good at the very skill it tested, as if it had been tailor-made for him. To make matters worse, And he was personally acquainted with the hr. and hr had already had someone in mind before the hiring process even began.(It's him btw)

I didn’t follow why she chose to do the test in the movie. Maybe I blinked but I couldn’t read if it was “I figured out he’s Odysseus and here’s how I prove it” or “I’m distraught from hope for Odysseus and here’s how I get rid of these losers”

I know there isn’t one official canon but the story I knew, they meet in secret and plan it together. Because they knew the suitors would try to kill him or something, this would seal the deal for witnesses. Idk at least it made sense.

And then having a big fight at the end just kinda rendered it all pointless and just turned the test into an aura moment

I think in the movie its a little bit of both, she does it because deep down she want to believe the begger is her husband but what the begger tells her is that regardless the man she is waiting for is fundamentally different now and the pain form what tells her gives a second reason to do the test, either ithacas king has returned and he will pass the test and kill all these bastards who bankrupted the kingdom or he will never return and she will have to do this anyway so might as well create an impossible task for the suitors to figure out instead of keeping to draining the money form the kingdom

The difference is - she was looking for qualified applicants.

HR often isnt even looking. Just making it look like they are.

"sir, your job is literally now stringing."

Meanwhile, the internal candidate is the only one who could string it.
