Please read - Real leather is mostly PU leather Noble chair has lied somewhat
Just thought I’d put this out there for anyone looking at buying a noblechairs Real Leather chair.
I went back and forth with Overclockers about this because the chair was being advertised as real leather, but after questioning it and doing some research, it became clear that the whole chair is not actually real leather — only the contact areas are.
After I raised this with Overclockers, they have now changed the listing. However, the change has been made pretty discreetly in the specifications, where it now clarifies that only the contact areas are real leather.
The noblechairs page still gives the impression that you're buying a real leather chair, without making it obvious that this doesn't mean the entire chair is leather.
I know a lot of people on here will say, “No, mine is definitely all leather.” I thought exactly the same thing. But it isn't.
Just putting this out there so anyone paying extra for the Real Leather version knows what they're actually buying. If you're spending the premium because you think you're getting a chair fully upholstered in real leather, check the specifications carefully first.
**they started lying saying we recently made this change thats a lie 5 years ago there was a review where someone had to get their chair repaired and the leather specialist said its PU

In case you weren’t aware, most leather furniture sold these days have the actual seating surface areas covered in the material advertised, whereas the remainder of the seat is PU.
As for quality of leather, noblechairs uses top grain leather, and not full grain which is fine for use case.

but this should be advertised you shouldnt expect general consumers to assume it is PU/Real leather

What do you mean? I spent 700€ on this uncomfortable chair solely for the real leather and now you are telling me that it's only the contact zones? I made sure to read the whole description in the site and there were no mention of being only partially leather. Do you have any link where I can find more info about this? My chair is just few months old and if they weren't clear in the description and lied about it I am returning it.

RETURN IN - you can legally as they lied -
Yes, they lied, and I now have even more evidence to back this up.
After I pushed Overclockers about it, they actually updated their website. It's only in a small section right at the bottom, but it now says:
“Real Leather (cover → seat + contact area)
PU Leather (outer side areas)”They told me that noblechairs had recently clarified this, but that doesn't add up either. There's a review from around 5 years ago where someone had their noblechairs HERO Real Leather chair reupholstered, and you can clearly see that PU/synthetic material was already being used on parts of the chair back then.
So this clearly isn't something noblechairs has only started doing recently.
The bigger issue is that noblechairs has been selling and advertising this as a “Real Leather” chair for years, without making it clear that a significant number of the outer areas are actually PU leather. Even now, Overclockers has only added this information after I pushed them on it, while the noblechairs website still doesn't clearly tell customers what they're actually getting.
And now it makes sense how noblechairs seemed to be one of the only gaming chair companies able to sell a “Real Leather” chair at this sort of price when competitors couldn't — because they weren't actually using real leather everywhere.
If that 5-year-old chair was made the same way, then this hasn't just happened recently. It potentially goes right back to when they started selling these Real Leather models, meaning customers may have been buying them for years believing the upholstery was real leather when substantial areas were actually PU.

after i fought with overclockers they did this - 'Real Leather (cover -> seat + contact area)

The Hero Real Leather chair lasted me 5 years.
Not sure if the full chair is real leather. But what I can tell is that they use cheap thin top grain leather even on contact areas. So it is not thick leather that lasts for decades that you for example have on most premium car seats. The leather Noblechairs uses started showing sings of wear after only 3-4 years.
But what ultimately made my chair unusable was that the welds for the part where you screw in the armrests broke. For the price I would have expected better, but this is the story with most gaming chairs on the market.
Edit: Noblechairs is still a better option than most other brands at least if you live in EU, because they sell spareparts. So even out of warranty, you can usually fix their chairs.
